Director Group IT
As Director Group IT, you are responsible for managing the IT infrastructure within the group. You plan and coordinate IT projects and oversee the daily operation of the IT environment. In addition, you actively contribute as an IT specialist alongside your team.
You act as the central point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders and ensure an efficient, secure, and future-oriented IT organization.
Responsibilities
Strategic role
Lead and coach the IT team
Optimize processes, set priorities, and define deadlines
Lead, coordinate, monitor, and report on IT projects
Manage the IT budget, licenses, and contracts
Standardize IT practices across different locations
Maintain relationships with external IT partners
Consult with management and executive board
Operational role as IT specialist
Overall responsibility for IT infrastructure and cybersecurity
Support the daily operations of the international IT environment
Participate in infrastructure projects
Develop, test, and maintain disaster recovery roadmaps
Manage backups and monitor systems
Automate and improve processes
Support the service desk in issue resolution
Document infrastructure and performed actions
Keep up to date with new technological developments
Profile
Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Applied Computer Science or Electronics-ICT
Experience:
At least 3 years in a similar role, or
At least 10 years of experience within IT
Technical knowledge: Networks, security, endpoints, MS Office, OT
Familiarity with current technical environment (Fortinet, VMware, and Veeam) is a strong plus
Languages: English (required), Dutch and French is a plus
Knowledge of regulations: GDPR, NIS2, ISO 27001
Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, well-organized and detail-oriented, decisive, cost-conscious, with a coaching and motivating leadership style
