Veeva Vault Functional Consultant – Quality

Position Description:

CGI is looking for a Senior Veeva Vault Functional Consultant to support a strategic client project in the Belgian pharmaceutical sector.

This is a hands-on functional and configuration role. You will act as the bridge between Quality stakeholders and technical teams, translating business requirements into effective and compliant Veeva Vault solutions.
You will not be expected to develop or code. Instead, you will understand and challenge business needs, recommend the most appropriate solution and ensure that it is correctly configured, implemented and adopted.

A Veeva Vault certification is mandatory. Only certified candidates can be considered.

You will work as part of a multidisciplinary project team involving Quality, IT, Validation, integration teams and external partners.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Leading workshops to understand, clarify and challenge business requirements.
- Translating requirements into functional designs and Veeva Vault configurations.
- Recommending solutions that make the best possible use of standard Veeva capabilities.
- Configuring or overseeing the configuration of objects, workflows, lifecycles, document types, user roles, security models and reports.
- Supporting Quality processes such as deviations, CAPA, change control, document management, training, validation, audits and inspections.
- Working with technical teams to define integration needs and assess impacts across connected applications.
- Coordinating the implementation of the agreed solution and ensuring that functional decisions are correctly applied.
- Supporting testing, UAT, deployment, hypercare and knowledge transfer.
- Troubleshooting functional and configuration issues.
- Ensuring that solutions comply with GxP, Computer System Validation, data integrity and audit-readiness requirements.
- Explaining functional decisions clearly to both business and technical stakeholders.

Your experience
- Veeva Vault certification is mandatory.
- Proven hands-on experience configuring Veeva Vault applications.
- Experience with Veeva Vault Quality applications such as QMS, QualityDocs or Validation Management.
- Ability to translate business requirements into practical functional solutions.
- Experience leading workshops and working directly with business stakeholders.
- Experience working with technical, integration and validation teams.
- Professional experience within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device or another regulated Life Sciences environment.
- Good understanding of Quality processes, GxP, Computer System Validation and data integrity.
- Strong communication, facilitation and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively within an international and cross-functional project team.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Biotechnology or equivalent professional experience.
- Fluent English and professional proficiency in either French or Dutch.

This position would particularly suit an experienced Veeva Vault Functional Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, Configuration Specialist, Administrator or Consultant ready to take ownership of functional solution design and delivery.
