About the role 

 
Our Health, Environment and Product Stewardship team is looking for a new Real Estate Project Leader. You will work closely with the Real Estate Manager to support and deliver industrial real estate projects.

The Real Estate Project Leader is responsible for leading the valuation, optimization, leasing, sale, and transformation of corporate real estate assets, while coordinating all legal, technical, commercial, and administrative aspects of related projects.

 

You will be accountable for:  

 

  • Asset Valuation & Technical Assessments: assess and determine the value of real estate assets and properties through realtors/brokers; carry out regulatory and technical diagnostics in case of sale.
  • Environmental & Tender Management: obtain environmental remediation certificates and/or end of mining concession certificates; collaborate with the remediation team, prepare specifications and organize consultation/tender processes to be addressed to prospective buyers.
  • Due Diligence & Data Room Management: create and maintain data rooms for due diligence purposes and organize the signature of NDAs with external stakeholders.
  • Legal Coordination & Oversight: select notaries for contract drafting and coordinate with internal Legal teams and external law firms when required, particularly for environmental clauses.
  • Contract Negotiation & Transaction Execution: negotiate contractual terms and conditions with buyers, lessees and vendors; organize the execution and signature of LoIs, sale and lease agreements, deeds, easements and conventions.
  • Supplier & Framework Agreement Management: conclude global framework agreements for property valuation, marketing and external legal services, in collaboration with Procurement and Legal teams.
  • Project & Stakeholder Management: collaborate with Global Business Units and local teams, establish and coordinate project teams, report to the Real Estate Manager and Steerco, validate key decisions and milestones, and prepare ELT approval notes when required.

 

 
We offer a permanent contract based on a hybrid working mode. The position requires regular travel across Europe, approximately once every two months.

 

About you 

 

Proven experience in industrial real estate transactions.

 
Competencies: 

  • Strong legal expertise, particularly in contract law, real estate law, and environmental law.
  • Solid understanding of soil remediation and land rehabilitation projects, including the sale of contaminated or partially remediated sites.
  • Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate industrial risks associated with land and real estate assets.
  • Fluent English required; additional language skills are an asset. Proficiency in French is preferred.

About the pay 

 
Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. The base pay expected for this role is € 75 000 - € 94 000 per year in Belgium. Your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and/or other incentives.
