Details of the role:

The Diagnostic Technician at the Volvo Trucks service center, will play a pivotal role in ensuring that the fleet of trucks operates at peak performance. His/her expertise will be crucial in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining complex truck systems, ensuring safety and efficiency on the road.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conducting comprehensive diagnostic tests and analyses on trucks.
• Identifying and resolving mechanical, electrical, and electronic malfunctions.
• Utilizing advanced diagnostic equipment and software.
• Performing preventive maintenance and inspections.
• Documenting the work performed and findings.
• Collaborating with other technicians and departments to solve complex problems.
• Staying up to date with the latest technologies and developments in the trucking industry.

Requirements:

• Higher diploma in Automotive Technology or a comparable education.
• Volvo experience is a plus but not required.
  • Candidates with experience in other truck brands (e.g., Mercedes, MAN, Iveco) are welcome, as long as they know how to use diagnostic software and have experience as a Diagnostic Technician..
• Experience as a diagnostic technician or in a similar role.
• Thorough knowledge of truck mechanics and electronics.
• Heard from CAN-bus systems, sensors and potentiometers.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and customer focus.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A C-class driver's license is a plus.
• Experience with electric trucks is a big advantage, as Paesen Trucks needs to switch to a greener fleet by 2030.
