Location: Berchem
Remote Work: Hybrid 3 days onsite required in Berchem
Project Duration: 17 Months

Workload: Full-time (100%)
Language Requirement: Dutch & English (French is a plus)
Job Description
Context:
For its Nexuzhealth unit, client is seeking an RPG Development Team Lead to lead the clinical lab software team in Berchem. The role combines technical leadership, hands-on development, and process management in a healthcare software environment. You will manage 15 people and actively contribute 50% of your time to RPG development.
Responsibilities:
Lead and coach a multidisciplinary team of RPG and .NET developers and functional analysts.
Oversee and continuously optimize development processes.
Balance conflicting priorities and manage the product backlog with Product & Delivery Managers.
Conduct sprint planning, daily operations, and individual evaluations.
Actively develop (~50%) using ILE RPG.
Help shape technical strategy and propose solutions.
Contribute to a fast-growing and innovation-driven organization.
Required Skills & Expertise
Must-Have:
7+ years expertise in IBM i ILE RPG (Free), CL, DB2 SQL, Rational Developer for i (RDi), Git, Jira.
5+ years of experience in people management and team leadership.
Experience in coaching, communication, and team evaluation.
Ability to work conceptually and strategically with stakeholders.
Comfortable handling backlogs, sprint planning, and change management.
Nice to Have:
Familiarity with XML, JSON, IFS, sockets, webservices.
Experience in .NET development.
Experience in healthcare domain or healthcare technology.
Experience with Agile methodology.
Knowledge of French is a plus.
