Designer telecom service

Telecom Team:

• The telecom team consists of 2 parts. On the one hand, there are the project engineers who completely follow up the telecom part of the project (scope, budget, planning). On the other hand, there are the telecom designers who, on behalf of the project leader, work out the necessary plans for the installations to be realized.
• Assist PL Telecom during the preliminary study (search data, check as built plans)
• During the study phase, developing and elaborating the implementation plans. More in detail:
• Follow-up of your planning of your various studies (priorities, deadlines)
• Development of the routing diagrams (overview plan of a connection); implementation plans for various telecom cabinets; cable lists; plan for structured cabling
• Participate in the definition and selection of the material
• Monitoring and checking the quality of the work delivered, in accordance with client's norms, standards and working methods
• Particularizing the standards for the concrete study
• Monitoring the quality of studies carried out internally and externally
• Control and follow-up of construction files
• During the implementation phase; assist PL Telecom for proper monitoring of the telecom works on site:
• Maintain contact with the operator, suppliers, contractors and test teams.
• Intervene and propose solutions in case of problems arising during construction or commissioning tests.
• Participate in site meetings or commissioning tests upon request to provide assistance with technical aspects.
• During the closing phase, participate in the debriefing on the telecom studies and provide assistance for the as built of the schemes.

Additional requirements:

• Graduate/bachelor or equivalent through experience in electricity, electronics, telecom or automation
• Excellent knowledge of Dutch and/or French
• Knowledge of Autocad and Microsoft Office applications, Visio
• Experience in telecommunications is an asset.
