About the Role

RELYzIT Talent is seeking a Senior Solution Architect for a 12-month freelance engagement with our client in Melle, Belgium. As a pivotal member of our builder community, you will architect, design, and guide the delivery of robust IT solutions that shape the future of enterprise technology. What You’ll Be Doing

• Analyze, design, and document end-to-end IT solutions for complex portfolio initiatives.
• Map current architectures, identify constraints, and translate business needs into secure, scalable, and manageable solutions.
• Embed architectural designs in SAP LeanIX and ensure lifecycle monitoring of applications and integrations.
• Align business needs, functional requirements, and technical solutions, ensuring traceability and transparency.
• Propose solution alternatives, clearly communicating advantages, disadvantages, risks, costs, and dependencies.
• Ensure all solutions align with enterprise architecture, security guidelines, technology standards, and strategic roadmaps.
• Support delivery teams throughout analysis, development, implementation, migration, and deployment phases.
• Document architectural decisions, create architecture diagrams, and validate designs through proof of concepts.
• Monitor and report architectural risks, deviations, and technical debt to governance bodies.
• Champion composable architecture to maximize delivery team autonomy and agility.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience as a Solution Architect (Senior level).
• Expertise in translating business and functional requirements into technical designs.
• Strong track record guiding delivery/product teams during implementation (Medior to Senior level).
• Deep experience with integration architecture and modern integration patterns.
• Mastery of modeling techniques and tools (ArchiMate, TOGAF, UML, Sparx EA).
• Demonstrated experience with cloud or hybrid architectures, including completion of a relevant template.
• Exceptional communication skills, analytical ability, and the capacity to clearly substantiate architectural choices.
• Experience with API management, business continuity, and disaster recovery.
• Hands-on knowledge of container platforms (e.g., Kubernetes) and event-driven architectures.
• Proven ability to guide proof of concepts and compare conceptual architectures.
• Experience with legacy modernization and microservices architectures.
• Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or equivalents.
• Experience with various integration architectures (ASB, Kafka, SAP CPI (PO/PI), etc.).
• Relevant Azure architecture certifications are a strong plus.
• Ownership mindset, proactive problem-solving, and a passion for delivering impactful solutions.

• Ability to complete and present a template describing experience with cloud or hybrid architectures.
• Relevant Azure (architecture) certifications (preferred).
• Demonstrable experience with business continuity and disaster recovery.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum delivery environments is a plus.
