Automation Expert Engineer

You are part of the Automation Expertise Service , where you are responsible for monitoring the realization of new and existing nuclear installations with regard to automation and conformity.
You carry out work, monitor, and follow up on all matters important for automation, ensuring that installations are delivered in accordance with the tender documents, specifications, safety requirements, and the safety report. This covers the study phase through to testing and any changes to design or execution, for both new and existing installations.

Result areas
Monitoring changes to existing installations and to new installations/buildings, with the aim of ensuring that they comply with the applicable tender documents, specifications, safety requirements, and the safety report.
Monitoring and assessing automation and instrumentation systems within projects and existing installations.
Working with and evaluating Siemens PLC and SCADA systems
Applying technical knowledge regarding industrial networks, frequency converters, instrumentation, etc.
Reading, interpreting, and evaluating technical documents such as P&IDs and electrical diagrams.
Programming is typically performed by external parties. Therefore, the focus is not on programming oneself, but on technically understanding, verifying, and following up on the delivered solutions
Organizing and/or participating in periodic follow-up meetings with the various involved parties and reporting the results in writing.
Coordinating with project managers, maintenance, technical services, site supervisors, and external parties.
Clearly document and report technical findings.
Ensuring correct administrative and documentary follow-up of technical files.
Drafting and following up on test and inspection plans, including test documents, and coordinating the necessary control moments.
Ensure that changes, findings, and decisions are correctly documented and remain traceable.
Collaborate with the project team and the site supervisors who monitor the technical execution.
Act as a technical discussion partner between various disciplines and stakeholders.
Demonstrate strong communication skills in an environment where safety, quality, and accurate information flow are essential.
Be regularly present at the various construction sites and installations.
The position requires frequent presence in a controlled zone.
The candidate must therefore be willing to undergo the required medical screening.
