As a Construction Planner, you will contribute to the Oosterweel Link in Antwerp, one of Belgium’s most impressive infrastructure projects. This is anything but an ordinary construction site. You will combine technical expertise, planning and organisation to ensure that complex construction activities are not only well designed, but also practically executable.

You think ahead, identify potential bottlenecks before they become problems, and help ensure a seamless connection between design and execution.

For this project, we are part of ROCO, the consortium commissioned by Lantis to deliver the Right Bank section of the Oosterweel Link. Together with several leading players in the Belgian construction industry, we are working on major infrastructure including the Canal Tunnels and the new, lowered Antwerp Ring Road.

What will you do?

• Translate designs into technically feasible and efficient execution plans.
• Analyse construction methods and identify opportunities for optimisation.
• Coordinate closely with design teams, site teams, suppliers and project management.
• Coordinate planning, logistics and the deployment of equipment and resources.
• Request quotations, compare proposals and support the contracting of subcontractors.
• Closely monitor execution, progress, costs and project administration.
• Actively contribute to safety by supporting risk assessments and safety plans.
• Take initiative whenever you see opportunities to make the execution safer, smarter or more efficient.

Who are we looking for?

You have:

• A degree in Civil or Industrial Engineering, specialising in construction, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in civil construction, preferably gained on at least two relevant projects.
• Strong technical and analytical skills.
• The ability to bring structure to a complex project environment.

You are:

• Someone who thinks ahead rather than reacts when problems arise.
• Highly organised and comfortable managing multiple deadlines at the same time.
• A strong communicator who enjoys working across different disciplines.
• Proactive, decisive and solution-oriented.
• A team player who is equally comfortable taking ownership of your own responsibilities.
