Objective:

The SAP Manager manages both the SAP Value Stream and the SAP Factory. The objective of the assignment is to continuously realize more business value from the SAP landscape while simultaneously ensuring its stability, security, cost efficiency, and future-proofing.

  • Translating business needs and improvement opportunities into a supported SAP roadmap with clear priorities.
  • Managing roadmap, capacity, budget, architecture, lifecycle, and suppliers in conjunction.
  • Ensure transparent and substantiated decision-making regarding investments, risks, and progress.

 

Value Stream SAP:

As an SAP Manager, you guide the further evolution of SAP within the client. You support business owners in determining priorities, realizing process improvements, and maximizing investments in SAP. You ensure that business needs are translated into a clear roadmap with clear choices and demonstrable added value for the organization.

  • Determine priorities based on value, risk, and capacity.
  • Identify and encourage process improvements.
  • Develop and follow up on the SAP roadmap.
  • Strengthening collaboration between domains and stakeholders.
  • Translating opportunities related to SAP, data, AI, and automation into concrete initiatives.
  • Justify investments and changes based on business value.

 

SAP Factory:

In addition to the further evolution of SAP, you are also responsible for the operation of the SAP Factory. You monitor the stability, security, and quality of the service and ensure that the roadmap is realized in a feasible manner within the available budgets, capacity, and supplier agreements.

  • Monitoring the SAP platform strategy and lifecycle.
  • Managing for availability, continuity, and performance.
  • Monitoring budgets, forecasts, and licenses.
  • Managing suppliers and contracts.
  • Monitoring safety, compliance, audit, and segregation of duties.
  • Align capacity, releases, and dependencies with the roadmap.

 

Cooperation and Representation:

The SAP Manager works closely with business owners, product owners, architects, line managers, and external partners. He or she ensures alignment between business needs, process improvements, technological capabilities, and the daily operations of the SAP landscape.

In addition, the SAP Manager represents SAP operations to the Value Stream Board and relevant governance bodies. He or she builds support for investments, priorities, and change initiatives and ensures transparency regarding the roadmap, budgets, risks, supplier performance, and progress.

 

Profile wanted:

We are looking for an experienced SAP Manager who can think strategically, connect people, and at the same time possesses sufficient substantive depth to provide direction to both the SAP Value Stream and the SAP Factory.

  • Extensive experience with SAP within a complex organization.
  • Experience with process improvement, transformation, and roadmap development.
  • Experience with budgets, supplier and contract management.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Insight into digital service delivery, lifecycle management, security, and compliance.
  • The ability to provide direction without hierarchical authority.
  • Affinity with innovation, data, AI, and automation.
