As a Medior .NET Developer/Angular Expert, you will be instrumental in advancing the digitalization of critical processes within the Agency for Agriculture and Fisheries. Your work will directly support the implementation of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP), impacting food security, sustainability, and public service efficiency. The applications you help build and maintain will empower teams across the organization, streamline complex workflows, and ensure the agency remains at the forefront of digital transformation.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Develop and maintain new and existing functionalities for web applications supporting the agency’s mission.
• Leverage your frontend expertise with Angular (version 20 or higher) to deliver robust, scalable user experiences.
• Translate functional specifications into technical designs, ensuring clarity and alignment with business goals.
• Collaborate closely with fellow developers and report to the content coordinator, fostering a culture of open communication and teamwork.
• Support other IT teams by integrating and maintaining components from the Shima portfolio.
• Ensure all technical solutions align with established architecture, standards, and frameworks.
• Champion Agile and Scrum methodologies, promoting transparency and iterative improvement.
• Work independently when required, taking full ownership of coding, testing, debugging, and maintenance tasks.

Technical Skills

• Minimum 4 years of demonstrable professional experience in .NET software development (C#).
• Minimum 3 years of demonstrable professional experience in web development with recent versions of Angular (including Angular 20 or higher).
• Strong knowledge of .NET Core and Web API.
• Proven experience with relational databases and SQL.
• Expertise in EF Core.
• Experience with NGRX (preferred).
• Familiarity with CQRS (preferred).
• Experience using Github Copilot (preferred).
• Demonstrated ability to execute programming tasks efficiently, including coding, testing, and debugging independently.

Language Proficiency

• Fluency in Dutch at European CEFR level C2 is required.

Other Requirements

• Demonstrable experience working in a Scrum context.
• Solid understanding and practical experience with Agile development methodologies.
• Analytical and synthetic thinking, with strong logical reasoning skills.
• Excellent communication skills, social ease, and a customer-focused mindset.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Curious learner who keeps knowledge up-to-date and embraces new technologies.

About the Role

This freelance position places you at the heart of the Shima team within the IT Development service, supporting the Digitalization and Organization Department. The team manages a diverse and impactful portfolio, analyzing, implementing, and maintaining applications that drive the agency’s mission. You’ll play a key role in integrating Shima components into broader measure applications, supporting both internal and cross-team initiatives.
