RELYzIT Talent is seeking a driven Test Analyst (Freelance) for a 4-month project with our client in Brussels. What You’ll Be Doing
- Develop a deep understanding of the technical environment and functional requirements of our client’s applications.
- Define and implement test strategies tailored to diverse applications, ensuring comprehensive coverage and risk mitigation.
- Design and document test scenarios and cases for both internal ICT and end-to-end user testing.
- Prepare test data and execute functional and non-functional tests, including performance and regression testing.
- Coordinate and support user acceptance testing, guiding stakeholders through the process and ensuring clarity at every step.
- Automate test cases independently or in collaboration with team members, leveraging modern tools and frameworks.
- Document automated test procedures, including principles, tools, and methodologies, to ensure repeatability and transparency.
- Analyze, document, and efficiently report test results to business analysts and developers, driving continuous improvement.
- Follow up on identified issues, collaborating with relevant parties to ensure timely resolution and software excellence.
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Test Analyst, with a proven track record in complex IT environments.
- Ownership mindset: you take initiative, act autonomously, and are relentless in your pursuit of quality.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, enabling you to bridge the gap between technical teams and end users.
- Strong sense of responsibility, flexibility, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Team player who thrives in agile, multidisciplinary settings and delivers results efficiently.
- Ability to synthesize complex information and deliver clear, actionable insights.
Technical Skills
- ISTQB or TMap certification (or other recognized test methodologies) – confirmed experience required.
- Experience with test automation tools such as Playwright or similar – highly valued.
- API Testing (SOAP and REST API) – junior level proficiency.
- Experience with non-functional testing (e.g., performance testing) – junior level proficiency.
- Azure DevOps – junior level proficiency.
- SoapUI, ReadyAPI, Postman, or similar tools – junior level proficiency.
- Ability to write queries in SQL, XML, and JSON – junior level proficiency.
- Agile/Scrum methodology – junior level proficiency; experience working in scrum teams is essential.
Language Proficiency
- Native Dutch speaker (essential for team integration and stakeholder communication).
- Active knowledge of French (ability to communicate effectively with bilingual stakeholders).
Other Requirements
- This is a freelance position for a fixed term of 4 months, based in Brussels with a hybrid work regime (2 days onsite, 3 days remote per week).
- Availability to work Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day.
