Project Manager

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and coordinate multiple manufacturing digitalization initiatives at Oevel, Belgium.

The successful candidate will oversee project execution across industrial automation, MES, Ignition-based visualization platforms, and infrastructure coordination while acting as the primary interface between business stakeholders, manufacturing teams, IT/OT teams, vendors, and delivery partners.

The role will support two strategic programs:

Project 1: Logistics Highway Program

· AGV (Automated Guided Vehicle) integration and operationalization between manufacturing buildings.

· Coordination of OT and IT infrastructure required for seamless AGV communication and operation.

Project 2: Oevel BMS Program

· Development and deployment of Ignition-based dashboards and visualization systems.

· Creation of operational monitoring solutions covering:

o Downtime monitoring

o PLC visibility and analytics

o Manufacturing KPIs

o Nerve Center dashboards

o Control Room operational monitoring

o Real-time reporting and visualization

Key Responsibilities

Project Management & Delivery

· Lead end-to-end project planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery.

· Manage project scope, budget, timelines, risks, and stakeholder expectations.

· Conduct governance meetings and provide status reporting to leadership.

· Coordinate cross-functional teams across business, IT, OT, engineering, and external vendors.

· Drive issue resolution and decision-making across multiple workstreams.

MES & Ignition Coordination

· Manage activities related to MES and industrial digitalization solutions.

· Coordinate Ignition platform implementation activities.

· Work with architects and technical teams to ensure solution alignment with business requirements.

· Track functional and technical deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.

IT / OT Infrastructure Coordination

· Coordinate activities involving:

o Industrial networks

o Firewall configurations

o Wi-Fi infrastructure

o PLC connectivity

o Edge devices and gateways

· Facilitate collaboration between manufacturing, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and application teams.

Stakeholder Management

· Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders.

· Communicate project progress, risks, and mitigation strategies.

· Facilitate workshops, requirement sessions, and project reviews.

Risk & Quality Management

· Identify project risks and dependencies early.

· Develop mitigation and contingency plans.

· Ensure compliance with company standards, cybersecurity requirements, and deployment processes.

Required Qualifications

Experience

· 8+ years of project management experience in manufacturing, industrial automation, MES, or digital manufacturing environments.

· Experience leading medium-to-large industrial digital transformation initiatives.

· Proven experience managing cross-functional global teams.

Technical Knowledge

The candidate is not expected to be a hands-on developer but should possess a strong understanding of:

· Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)

· Ignition Platform

· Industrial Automation & Control Systems

· PLC Integration

· Industrial Networking

· Firewalls & Security Concepts

· Wi-Fi Infrastructure

· OT / IT Integration

· Real-time Manufacturing Data Systems

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience in manufacturing environments.

· Exposure to AGV or material handling automation projects.

· Knowledge of SCADA, MES, and Industrial IoT platforms.

· Experience working with global delivery teams.

PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or equivalent project management certification.
