Your role

Bring your curiosity to work as our next Technology Engineer – Oil-Free Screw Compressors. You will join our Oil-Free Screw Product Development team within the Airtec division and report to the team leader. In this role, your mission is to help develop the next generation of sustainable oil-free screw (OFS) compressors—the heart of our best-in-class units converting mechanical energy into compressed air—driving innovation from concept to serial production.

Your day-to-day

  • Work closely with the project team to drive product development from prototype to serial production while advancing expertise in key technology domains.

  • Conduct research, simulations, calculations, and modeling of components and subsystems, including digital twin development.

  • Identify knowledge gaps, design and execute test plans to validate new concepts, and ensure seamless implementation of engineering solutions.

  • Translate functional specifications into design parameters, follow up on prototyping and testing, and optimize internal calculation tools.

  • Participate actively in design reviews and technical decision-making to continuously improve product efficiency and sustainability.

  • Collaborate closely with internal departments, external partners, and research institutes.

Your skills and experience

  • Master’s or PhD degree in Engineering Science, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

  • Proficiency in MATLAB (or similar programming environments like Python) is preferred.

  • Ability to interpret FEA/CFD results; experience in numerical simulations is a plus.

  • Broad knowledge of mechanical engineering; experience with oil-free screw compressors or compressors in general is not required.

  • Experience as a project team member or leader in product development projects is an asset.

  • Good communication skills and professional fluency in English (spoken and written); basic communication skills in Dutch are a plus.

We encourage you to apply, even if you don't meet every requirement. We value diverse experiences and perspectives and look forward to seeing what you bring to the role.
