About the Role

RELYzIT Talent is seeking a Senior OpenShift Administrator AI for a high-impact freelance assignment with our client. You’ll be at the heart of a digital transformation, architecting and managing secure, scalable Linux container environments that empower the next generation of AI-driven solutions. As a Senior OpenShift Administrator AI, you will be instrumental in building and maintaining the containerized infrastructure that underpins this vision. Your expertise will directly impact the organization’s ability to innovate, manage risk, and deliver AI solutions that support operational excellence and compliance with evolving regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the integration and continuous improvement of Linux server environments within complex information systems.
• Design, implement, and manage Red Hat OpenShift (version 4+) infrastructures in secure datacenter environments, focusing on AI workloads and microservices architectures.
• Automate administration, maintenance, and monitoring tasks using Ansible and other automation tools.
• Ensure optimal performance, reliability, and security of containerized environments, leveraging Kubernetes orchestration.
• Monitor usage and performance of OpenShift platforms and orchestrators using tools such as Prometheus and Kibana; analyze trends and proactively address issues.
• Plan and coordinate infrastructure extensions and updates, including major releases, in line with vendor recommendations and organizational needs.
• Develop and enforce technical standards, guidelines, and procedures for system evolution and security.
• Coordinate a multidisciplinary team of specialists, optimizing resource allocation and fostering a collaborative environment.
• Support the hosting and deployment of AI applications in containerized environments, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory frameworks.
• Document solutions, processes, and outcomes to ensure knowledge sharing and operational continuity.
• Contribute to the digital transformation by replacing legacy tools and technologies with modern, secure, and high-performing solutions.

Technical Skills & Experience

• Expertise in Red Hat OpenShift 4: installation, deployment, troubleshooting, and daily management.
• Advanced experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux Advanced Server 8.
• Proven ability to automate system administration and monitoring tasks using Ansible.
• Deep knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Kubernetes) in production environments.
• Experience hosting AI-type applications in containerized, resource-optimized environments.
• Expertise in virtualization solutions in Linux environments (Red Hat Virtualization, KVM, VMWare, etc.).
• Familiarity with backup and restore solutions in Linux (e.g., Commvault).
• Working knowledge of OpenLDAP and Samba.
• Confirmed user-level experience with Microsoft O365 products.
• Basic familiarity with Microsoft Windows 10 and 11 Enterprise.

Language Proficiency

• Professional proficiency in English (technical documentation and communication).
• Preferably bilingual in Dutch and French, or strong working knowledge of a second national language to participate in multidisciplinary meetings.
