ASIC Project Manager – Packaging, testing & Qualification

What you will do

At IC-Link by imec, we support customers in bringing their ASIC and SoC solutions from design towards manufacturing and production. For our team, we are looking for an ASIC Project Manager with strong expertise in Packaging, Test & Qualification.

In this role, you will manage and shape complex customer projects, with a particular focus on the backend manufacturing flow. You will bring together customers, business development colleagues and technical experts to define the right solution and turn it into a realistic project plan.

Your role combines technical expertise, project management and customer interaction. You will not be doing hands-on design work yourself, but your technical background enables you to assess complexity, challenge proposed solutions and guide technical and commercial decisions.

As a Technical Project Architect, you will be the technical bridge between our customers, business development teams and technical experts.

You will:

  • Take ownership of customer ASIC projects and define their scope, planning, budget, risks and deliverables.
  • Translate customer requirements into the right packaging, test, qualification and manufacturing approach.
  • Coordinate technical activities across different expertise domains and ensure alignment between customers, internal experts and external manufacturing partners.
  • Act as a key technical contact for customers, particularly during the definition and pre-sales phase.
  • Work closely with business development to translate technical requirements into feasible and commercially sound project proposals.
  • Coordinate with internal specialists, design teams, manufacturing partners and other stakeholders.
  • Stay connected to developments in semiconductor packaging, testing and qualification and understand how new technologies and industry trends can impact customer solutions.
  • Oversee multiple customer projects while ensuring technical and business requirements remain aligned.
