UX/UI Designer

Introduction

We are looking for an experienced UX/UI Designer who is passionate about creating intuitive, accessible and visually engaging digital experiences. In this role, you will transform product concepts into high-fidelity user interfaces and seamless user journeys that balance customer needs with business objectives.

Working closely with concept designers, UX writers, developers and other digital specialists, you will take ownership of the user experience from design refinement through implementation. You will play a key role in ensuring that digital products are user-friendly, technically feasible and aligned with modern design standards.

Responsibilities

UX & UI Design

• Translate conceptual ideas into intuitive user journeys and high-quality interface designs.
• Design complete user flows, including all screens, interactions and edge cases.
• Create high-fidelity mock-ups, wireframes and interactive prototypes.
• Ensure a logical information architecture and intuitive navigation throughout the user experience.
• Balance usability, accessibility, aesthetics and business goals in every design decision.

User-Centred Design

• Gather input from business stakeholders, technical teams and other experts to understand user needs and technical constraints.
• Research and benchmark leading digital experiences across industries to inspire innovative solutions.
• Incorporate feedback from usability testing into design improvements.
• Continuously refine designs based on user insights and project learnings.

Collaboration & Product Development

• Work closely with UX Copywriters to ensure seamless integration of content within the interface.
• Take ownership of the UX/UI design during the refinement phase of projects.
• Support concept designers with visual input during early ideation when required.
• Deliver pixel-perfect designs and interactive prototypes to development teams.
• Collaborate with front-end developers throughout implementation to ensure design quality is maintained.

Design System & Continuous Improvement

• Actively use and contribute to the organisation's design system across mobile and web platforms.
• Create, improve and maintain reusable design components when needed.
• Promote a Mobile First approach throughout the design process.
• Participate in the UX/UI design community by sharing best practices, contributing to design standards and helping evolve common patterns and guidelines.

Experience

• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience as a UX/UI Designer or in a comparable role.
• Proven experience designing high-quality mobile and web experiences.
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum product teams.
• Experience documenting designs and preparing clear handovers for developers and researchers.

Technical Skills

• Strong Mobile First mindset.
• Proven expertise designing native mobile experiences using Material Design and Apple Human Interface Guidelines.
• Excellent understanding of accessibility principles and WCAG guidelines.
• Advanced proficiency with design tools such as Figma and AI-supported design tools.
• Strong experience working with design systems.
• Ability to consume, create and improve reusable design components.
• Understanding of component properties within design systems is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of front-end development and the technical impact of design decisions is considered a plus.
