Mission:

The role encompasses the management, migration, and continuous evolution of the network security infrastructure (Palo Alto, Panorama), with particular attention to a controlled migration from Forcepoint and to operational continuity in a critical multi-site environment.

 

Deliverables:

  • Successfully migrated firewall infrastructure from Forcepoint to Palo Alto Networks
  • Managed, operated, and optimized Palo Alto/Panorama platforms
  • Implemented and maintained network security policies
  • Current technical documentation and operating procedures
  • Rolled-out segmentation and hardening architectures
  • Recommendations for technical solutions to secure partner connections (intranet/internet)

 

Main tasks:

  • Managing the ICT security infrastructure: Palo Alto firewalls (installation, configuration, management)
  • Execute migrations of firewalls and security policies from Forcepoint to Palo Alto Networks (analysis, preparation, implementation, validation)
  • Participate in the definition of network security architectures
  • Responsible for the administration, operation, and optimization of the Palo Alto infrastructure, including Panorama
  • Participate in projects related to network segmentation, flow security, and infrastructure hardening
  • Drafting technical documentation and operating procedures
  • Participating in changes in a critical production environment
  • Providing advice on technical solutions for securing connections with external partners
  • Implement solutions to remedy any vulnerabilities

 

Core competencies:

  • Installation, configuration, administration, and optimization of the Palo Alto NGFW/Panorama infrastructure
  • Migration expertise: analysis, preparation, execution, and validation of firewall migrations (Forcepoint to Palo Alto)
  • Network security architecture: segmentation, hardening, VPN, dynamic routing (BGP/OSPF), interoperability with F5 BIG-IP
  • Advanced troubleshooting and management of critical incidents in a multi-site production environment
  • Accurate documentation and collaboration with multiple technical teams (network, security, systems, operations, projects)

 

Communication and collaboration:

  • Strong written and oral communication; good technical communication
  • Collaborate with multiple infrastructure and security teams (network, security, systems, operations, projects)
  • Preferably bilingual (French, Dutch) or sufficient basic knowledge of a second national language; technical English required.

 

Level and experience:

  • Expert and independent execution under general supervision (SFIA Level 4 – Enable), senior technical profile
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in network security, autonomy, and initiative; deployable for both daily operational tasks and strategic transformation projects; expressly not a junior.

 

Diploma:

  • Graduate or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent through proven experience. Desired certifications: PCNSA, PCNSE, F5 certifications (asset), additional security certifications (asset).
