Business Analist

Function

Responsible for collecting detailed requirements and functional specification for the development and improvement of IT systems
Works closely with the Solution Architect, Project Manager and the relevant teams in the business to exchange knowledge about the functional and legal requirements
Develops functional specifications, produces deliverables related to the assigned project(s) and assists with post-implementation support
Works with vendors who implement the systems to ensure that the required functionalities are communicated and validated for correctness and completeness
Develops test cases for users and validates test results during user acceptance tests
Updating documentation of processes, creating reusable and shareable assets.

Job Requirements

Creation of User Stories, Story Maps and functional requirements
Drafting Use Cases
Defining non-functional requirements
Defining acceptance criteria
Technical background in, for example, Java or .NET, cloud (Microsoft Azure) environments or SaaS solutions and more specifically with regard to data integration techniques
Strong analytical, communication, and written skills
Fluency: English, Dutch
Able to analyze the business partner's activities to understand their strengths and weaknesses
Has insight into the systems and capabilities of the IT organization
Process-oriented
Analytical thinking
Knowledge of business functions
Experience or understanding of EU legislation is a plus, but not a requirement
