Context

The Technical Lead forms the technical bridge between the project team and the external supplier and internal teams within Client. The project team makes the functional analyses, the technical elaboration is done partly by the project team and partly by the supplier. The software development is also done by different teams.

Responsibilities

Drafting, reviewing & challenging internal and external deliverables

Thoroughly evaluating internally prepared solution architecture and functional analyses.
Thoroughly evaluate and challenge technical analyses, architecture designs and data models drawn up by the supplier.
Prepare technical analysis documents yourself where necessary.
Ensure that proposed solutions are scalable, secure, consistent, future-proof and fit within our IT architecture.

End-to-end quality assurance

Monitoring the technical quality throughout the entire process (from functional requirement to delivery and acceptance tests).
Establish and maintain quality standards for code, documentation, test coverage, and deployment processes.

Substantive representation

Preparation of technical consultation moments.
Active participation in technical consultations (both internally and with the supplier) to defend the interests of the project.
Technical SPOC for the supplier and first point of contact and technical coordination for the internal team (functional analysts, domain experts) for complex technical issues.

Managing internal expertise

Coordinating and engaging internal technical specialists (such as security, infrastructure, data management) where necessary.
Establishing and monitoring an unambiguous technical direction so that all parties involved, including the integrator, work from one validated technical vision.

Project IT on board the vehicle:

Efficient and customer-oriented public transport requires a "digitalization" of the vehicle fleet. Digitization of the vehicle fleet also has advantages for the public transport company itself: guidance of the drivers can be improved, for example with the help of advanced navigation apps and flexible communication tools between the driver and the dispatch center, maintenance services can be planned more efficiently by making creative use of the vehicle engine data, customer satisfaction increases through good, real-time vehicle information, etc.?
That is why Client is running a digitisation project for the vehicle fleet, namely: "IT on board the vehicle". In this project, a new, future-oriented vehicle platform will be developed and implemented on the vehicles. To this end, off-the-shelf hardware and software components are purchased and integrated on the vehicles with already existing hardware and software. The development of the new vehicle platform, based on those new components but also with legacy components on the vehicle and in the back office, is currently underway and is being done partly by an external supplier and partly by internal development teams. In that context, Client is looking for reinforcement in the field of technical support.
