Kitchen Assistant — Student/ Flexi

As a Kitchen Assistant at VIA Antwerp, you support our food and beverage operations, including MEA, our restaurant. You work alongside the kitchen team to help prepare and deliver quality food while maintaining a clean, organised and efficient working environment.

Depending on operational needs, you may assist with food preparation and kitchen activities for MEA and other food and beverage services within VIA Antwerp. Your contribution helps ensure smooth kitchen operations and an enjoyable dining experience for our guests.

Your responsibilities

• Assist with basic food preparation and kitchen tasks.

• Prepare ingredients and support the kitchen team during service.

• Keep workstations, kitchen equipment and utensils clean and organised.

• Follow food safety, hygiene and cleanliness procedures.

• Assist with dishwashing and general kitchen cleaning when needed.

• Help receive, store and organise kitchen supplies.

• Support the team during busy service periods.

• You are eligible to work as a student/flexi employee in Belgium.

• Previous kitchen experience is required.

• You have a practical, hands-on attitude and enjoy working in a team.

• You work efficiently and pay attention to cleanliness and detail.

• You understand the importance of food safety and hygiene.

• You are reliable, flexible and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

• You are available for morning or evening shifts and weekends when required.

Working Hours

Shifts may include:

• Morning shifts: approximately 08:00–12:00.

• Evening shifts: approximately 17:00–23:00.
