Required: Trencher Supervisor
 
We ARE Renewables is currently recruiting a Trencher Supervisor to join one of its customers active in the renewables industry who is currently installing subsea cables at offshore wind farms. As a Trencher Supervisor you will be controlling and maintaining the CTB (Cable Burial Tractor) and accompanying equipment and are jointly responsible for safety related matters on board.
Your tasks & responsibilities:
  • Supervising the deployment and operation of cable burial tractors.
  • Assist he shift supervisor with the mobilization & demobilization and project preparations,
  • Ensuring that cable burial operations are carried out in accordance with project plans, specifications, and safety standards.
  • Managing a team of cable burial technicians or operators.
  • Monitoring the progress of cable burial activities and reporting any issues or deviations from plans.
  • Coordinating with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure efficient and effective cable burial operations.
  • Conducting inspections and quality checks to verify the proper burial and positioning of cables.
  • Troubleshooting and addressing any technical or operational problems with the cable burial tractors.
  • Implementing and enforcing safety procedures and protocols:
    • Ensure compliance with the Project HS&E Plan applicable to the works.
    • Execute Operations in a safe, and technically sound way, such that technical requirements are attained
    • Participate in HIRA meetings.
    • Maintain safe working practices and a high level of safety awareness.
 
  • Assure the operational condition of the cable burial activity:
    • Operate the CBT as per manufacturers manuals and instructions
    • Ensure that planned maintenance is done and recorded in coordination with Shift Supervisor.
    • Ensure that the basic equipment repairs and replacements are done in coordination with Shift Supervisor.
    • Ensure that pre checks are completed before operations.
    • Ensure the equipment is utilized in line with applicable procedures and relevant site/inspection.
    • Maintain a daily maintenance, fault and improvement log.
     
In this role you will be reporting to the Shift Supervisor

  • GWO Sea survival
  • GWO Working at Heights
  • GWO Fire awareness
  • GWO First aid
  • Chester step (30 cm)
  • HUET-CA-EBS
  • Offshore medical

Start: week 27 (03-07-2023) for 6 weeks in the US, after 5 weeks on 5 weeks of in the UK until mid-December
Location: offshore, vessel based in the US (US Visa mandatory) and UK
