As a Senior Cloud & Enterprise Architect, you will lead the foundational study and preparation phase, setting the stage for a seamless, secure, and future-proof IT environment. Your work will directly influence the success of this transformation, reducing complexity, enhancing security, and enabling business agility at scale.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Design and plan the multi-phase migration of fragmented legacy and multi-cloud identity providers into a unified, centralized IAM framework.
• Architect and deploy production-ready Cloud Landing Zones, establishing robust security, networking, and governance controls across AWS and Azure.
• Align cloud deployments with enterprise Cloud Foundations, ensuring standardized infrastructure-as-code (IaC), automated compliance, and shared services models.
• Develop high-availability, hybrid, and multi-cloud strategies in line with TOGAF and industry best practices.
• Bridge technical execution with strategic business goals, ensuring that architecture decisions drive measurable business outcomes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to consolidate enterprise identity, reduce authentication friction, and mitigate security risks.
• Lead the technical study and preparation phase, delivering actionable roadmaps for large-scale digital transformation.

What We’re Looking For

• Builder mindset: You take ownership, thrive on solving complex problems, and deliver high-impact solutions.
• Proven experience as a Senior Infrastructure Architect, with a strong track record in enterprise environments.
• Expertise in designing and implementing IAM solutions for organizations with 1000+ users, including SSO, IDP integration, and Zero Trust policies.
• Demonstrated ability to architect and deploy Cloud Landing Zones in AWS and Azure, with at least one project in the utility sector within the last 5 years.
• Deep understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF, ArchiMate, UML, Sparx EA).
• Hands-on experience with cloud platform conception and implementation (AWS, Azure), ICT infrastructure, and IT security.
• Strategic thinker who can translate business needs into robust technical architectures.
• Collaborative communicator, able to work effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.

Technical Skills & Requirements

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (Must have)
• Fluent in English (Must have)
• Fluent in French or Dutch, with passive knowledge of the other national language (minimum B1 level) (Must have)
• Experience with enterprise IAM consolidation and architecture (Must have)
• Minimum of one completed project in the last 5 years involving production-ready Cloud Landing Zone design/deployment in the utility sector (Must have)
• Proven experience with modelling techniques: ArchiMate, TOGAF, UML, Sparx EA (Must have)
• Proven experience with cloud environment conception and implementation (AWS/Azure) (Must have)
• Proven experience in ICT infrastructure and cloud platforms (Should have)
• Proven experience with IT security (Should have)
• MANDATORY: Complete the team experience template

Language Proficiency

• English: Fluent (required)
• French or Dutch: Fluent, with passive knowledge of the other (minimum B1 level required)

Other Requirements

• Availability for a 2-month freelance engagement, based in Brussels, Belgium
• Immediate start preferred (September–December study phase)
• Experience working in or with the utility sector is highly valued
