Mission
As Product Cost Manager, you will play a pivotal role at the crossroads of finance, operations, product strategy and commercial excellence, ensuring that our product costs remain accurate, competitive and aligned with business objectives throughout the product lifecycle.
Acting as the reference point for product costing across equipment, installation and services, you will partner with stakeholders from Supply Chain, Operations, Product Management, R&D and Sales Excellence to ensure end-to-end cost transparency and control across the Proton Therapy portfolio.
Your role goes beyond maintaining robust cost models. You will translate operational realities into reliable financial insights, equip teams with effective costing tools and support strategic decision-making. You will also drive the Product Cost Roadmap, identifying optimization opportunities and helping ensure the long-term competitiveness of IBA's products.
Challenges we trust you with
Product Cost Management
Own and continuously improve the Standard Costs of Proton Therapy products, covering equipment, installation and services.
Ensure Standard Costs remain aligned with the latest Equipment, Installation and Service operating models
Collaborate closely with Supply Chain, Sourcing, Operations and Service teams to capture return-on-experience (RoE) and translate field learnings into updated cost assumptions
Integrate market trends, macroeconomic factors and operational feedback into cost models
Monitor and assess the impact of new product releases, design changes and strategic initiatives on product costs
Drive cost transparency across the organization by communicating, tracking and challenging cost evolution over time
Ensure alignment between standard models and operational realities observed in the field
Costing Tools Development
Provide IBA teams with reliable and user-friendly costing solutions that support decision-making across the organization.
Translate Standard Costs into actionable tools for Sales, Installation and Service teams
Develop, maintain and validate the product costing tool suite
Ensure consistency, reliability and continuous improvement of costing methodologies
Train end-users and promote best practices in tool utilization
Communicate updates and improvements to stakeholders effectively
Sales & Business Support
Partner with commercial teams to support profitable business growth.
Support Sales teams in estimating the cost impact of deviations from the standard offering
Provide analytical insights to support pricing discussions and business decisions
Act as a trusted partner for stakeholders requiring cost-related expertise
Business Cases & Financial Modelling
Support strategic decision-making through robust financial analyses.
Build and maintain the standard Proton Therapy Business Case model
Develop templates and methodologies that enable teams to create consistent and reliable business cases
Support Product Managers in preparing business cases for strategic programs, product lines and investments
Train stakeholders on business case tools and methodologies
Product Cost Roadmap
Contribute to the long-term competitiveness of IBA's Proton Therapy solutions.
Define and maintain the Product Cost Roadmap across equipment, installation and services
Identify cost optimization opportunities in collaboration with Product Management, R&D, Supply Chain and Operations
Ensure alignment between product roadmap, operational initiatives and cost reduction objectives
Provide visibility on future cost trends and savings opportunities
What we value
Who You Are
Education & Experience
Master's degree in Business, Engineering, Finance or a related field
Experience in product costing, business analysis, finance, supply chain, sales excellence, sourcing, operations planning or a related business environment
Experience working with complex products, systems or project-based environments is a strong asset
Knowledge of Proton Therapy installation and service operations is considered a plus
Skills & Competencies
Strong analytical and numerical mindset with a passion for data-driven decision making
Advanced Excel expertise and ability to work with large and complex datasets
Solid financial acumen and understanding of business drivers
Ability to connect operational realities with financial impacts and strategic objectives
Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Proactive, autonomous and solution-oriented approach
Comfortable challenging assumptions and driving continuous improvement
Fluent in English

Experience with financial modelling and costing tools is a strong advantage
