Who We Are Intropic is a fast-growing, venture-backed information company. We believe information helps people make better decisions and fuels innovation, and we build software and data products that help people get more value from it. Our journey starts in finance and capital markets, where information moves trillions of dollars: our index rebalance forecasting, index intelligence and related datasets are already used daily by Portfolio Managers, Traders and Researchers at some of the world's largest hedge funds, asset managers and trading firms. We're just getting started. We are now opening our first office in Asia-Pacific, in Hong Kong. Our APAC client base of quantitative funds, trading firms and sell-side institutions across Hong Kong, Japan and Singapore has grown to the point where it needs specialist support during its own market hours rather than from London. This hire is a founding member of that presence. You will be backed by the full weight of our London headquarters in Canary Wharf: our research, engineering, product and commercial teams, established processes and a client book that already spans the region. In other words, start-up ownership and visibility with the backing of an established, well-capitalised business behind you. \n The Role You will join as a Product Specialist, the person who sits at the centre of how Intropic's proprietary equity rebalance datasets, including Passive Fund Intelligence (PFI) and Index Intelligence, are delivered to institutional clients in APAC. Product Specialists at Intropic own the technical delivery and the relationship: onboarding and implementing new client teams, fielding detailed index-methodology and integration questions in real time, and making sure every client is getting the most out of their subscription. This is a role with a clear path. As you build deep product knowledge and your own client relationships, you will grow into an Account Manager for the region, taking commercial ownership of renewals, expansion and new business across APAC. We will help you learn the business and the industry as quickly as possible. What You'll Be Doing
• Lead the technical onboarding and implementation of Intropic's equity rebalance datasets for new client teams across APAC, from configuring entitlements, dataset and licence permissions across our API, portal and SFTP channels, to walking quantitative and trading desks through the data model, action codes and forecast series until they are production-ready.
• Act as the first point of contact for product and index-methodology queries on index events across S&P, Russell, MSCI, FTSE, STOXX, TOPIX, Nikkei, CSI, Hang Seng and ASX, often in real time over client chat and during APAC market hours.
• Work continuously with clients to ensure they are maximising value from their Intropic subscriptions: monitoring usage, running training sessions and demos, and resolving issues quickly.
• Support evaluations and trials of our full product suite with senior counterparties at banks and investment firms in the region, progressing to owning renewals, expansion and new client acquisition as you step into account management.
• Be the voice of APAC clients inside Intropic: understand where they spend their time and money and feed that back to the researchers and engineers responsible for building and maintaining our products.
• Help establish Intropic's presence in Hong Kong, working closely with the London team on coverage, processes and the local client calendar. \nHK$400,000
- HK$550,000 a year Who We Look For We want people with strong analytical skills, a genuine interest in financial markets, an entrepreneurial drive and a desire to have an impact. We're a start-up growing fast; you'll have many responsibilities, all giving you the opportunity to directly contribute to the company's growth trajectory. Apply to us if:
• You have the right to work in Hong Kong (we are not able to offer immigration sponsorship for this position).
• You are fluent in written and spoken English to a native or near-native standard, and comfortable working in English with clients all day. Cantonese and/or Mandarin are a strong plus.
• You have 1-4 years of experience in a client-facing, product, client success, sales or trading-support role in financial markets or financial data, or exceptional graduates with demonstrable interest in equity markets.
• You understand, or can quickly learn, how passive funds, index rebalances and corporate actions move markets. Experience with index methodologies (S&P, Russell, MSCI, FTSE, Hang Seng, TOPIX) is a plus.
• You are comfortable with data: you can read an API response, work with CSV files and explain a data model to a quant. Python or SQL is a plus, not a requirement.
• You are extremely ambitious and hard working, looking to take on big responsibilities and be accountable for them.
• You are curious and willing to learn a lot, quickly, about our business and industry, and you have a track record of exceptional intellectual and operational achievement.
• You communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences, and you stay composed and precise under pressure, because our clients trade large sums on the answers you give them.
• You have strong relationship-building skills and an outgoing, positive personality. \nWhy Join Us
• Be a founder of Intropic in APAC. You are one of the first people on the ground in Hong Kong, with the autonomy and visibility that comes with building a new office from day one.
• Strong London backing. You are never on your own: a full research, engineering, product and commercial team in Canary Wharf, established onboarding and training programmes, and an existing APAC client book to build on.
• A clear path to Account Manager. Grow from specialist delivery into commercial ownership of the region.
• Work with the sharpest people in the market. Our clients are index rebalance PMs, quant researchers and traders at the world's most demanding institution from senior colleagues who have done the role themselves.
• A dynamic, multi-disciplinary role where no two days are the same, alongside a diverse team of capable, passionate and entrepreneurial colleagues who will help you grow.
