đ Join Cooltra Weâre looking for a City Manager in Brussels đ
Do you want to lead the launch of a new e-bike service and build a city operation from the ground up? This is your chance
Who are we?
Cooltra is a European leader in sustainable mobility đ”, with shared electric vehicles in cities across Spain, Italy, France, Portugal, the Netherlands and Belgium. Our goal is to make cities cleaner and easier to move around, one ride at a time. Passion, commitment and innovation drive everything we do.
About your role
In 2027 we are launching a large shared e-bike fleet in Brussels. The operation will combine an internal core team, which handles fleet maintenance and oversees operations across the whole city, with specialised field partners for selected on-street tasks.
As City Manager, youâll own the city end to end: youâll lead the local team, make sure our partners deliver, run the P&L and represent Cooltra with the city and the regions. Youâll report to the B2C General Manager.
What youâll do
âą Own the cityâs results: revenue, contribution margin and costs against budget, plus fleet availability, utilisation and service quality.
âą Build and lead the internal core team: hire workshop, fleet maintenance staff and operations supervisors, then coach them and manage their performance.
âą Organise fleet maintenance in-house: workshop processes, spare parts, repair turnaround times and fleet health.
âą Oversee all operations in the city, in-house and outsourced, making sure the service runs to the same standard everywhere.
âą Manage our field partners (battery swaps, on-street collection, rebalancing): set SLAs, check performance and invoices, and decide which tasks stay in-house and which go to partners.
âą Lead the e-bike launch: deployment plan, operating zones, parking and hubs, warehouse and workshop setup, and readiness on launch day.
âą Build and maintain relationships with the Brussels-Capital Region, the communes and other public stakeholders, including permits, compliance, parking rules and reporting.
âą Use data to decide where and when to deploy and operate e-bikes and to adjust pricing, working closely with our central teams (Marketing, Product, Customer Care and Finance). What youâll need
âą 4+ years in operations or general management, ideally in mobility, logistics or another on-demand business.
âą Proven experience leading operational teams on the ground, including hiring, shift planning and performance management.
âą Hands-on experience managing suppliers or outsourced operations against KPIs and SLAs.
âą Strong analytical
skills:
youâre comfortable with Excel/Sheets and dashboards, and you understand a P&L.
âą Fluent English and French. Nice to have
âą Knowledge of fleet maintenance or workshop operations.
âą Experience working with public authorities or in regulated environments.
âą Dutch. Why Cooltra?
âą A high-ownership role: lead a city launch and build your team from day one đ
âą A fast-growing, multicultural and international team, with HQ in Barcelona đ
âą Competitive package đ
âą Free ride allowance on our e-bikes đČ
âą Flexible working within an operations-driven role.
