Field Media Support Specialist
- Hohenfels, Germany This position provides Multimedia support to the Joint Multinational Readiness Center (JMRC) Operations Group (OPSGRP) located at Hohenfels, Germany. JMRC’s mission is to train Multinational Interoperability to U.
S., NATO, and partner nation forces up to the Brigade level in an extended Live, Virtual, and Constructive Decisive Action Training Environment. JMRC supports the U.
S. Army Europe theater security cooperation plan through planning and participation in NATO and U.
S. Army Europe exercise programs. The Web-based Multimedia Audio-Visual Specialist is a supporting member of the Operational Environment (OE) and Multimedia Center Teams and works in support of JMRC rotations / exercises. The Field Media Support Specialist replicates media effects in urban areas during times of crisis. Responsibilities
• Capture audio / video of RTU and role player activity using Digital Single-Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera, smartphone, or similar recording devices in a field environment during exercise execution.
• Utilize the recorded / captured audio-visual material to create exercise news videos, with voice-over when required.
• Tasks will require proficiency in Adobe Premier or Final Cut Pro and capability to complete post-production videography.
• Works with multimedia software i.e. Apple Final Cut Pro, Apple Motion, Adobe Photoshop; MPEG Stream Clip; Adobe Media Encoder; Microsoft Office Suite for PC and MAC.
• Interfaces with Government networks; audio video capture; editing; and product creation. Qualifications Required Education and
Experience:
• 2 years of Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premier, or equivalent experience;
• 2 years of DSLR camera and microphone experience.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to operate a motor vehicle during inclement weather conditions.
• Must be able to work in inclement weather conditions for extended periods of time. Desired Skills and
Qualifications:
• Experience in content creation to include content management, publishing, and Graphic / Media Design; audio/video capture; editing; and product creation.
• Experience creating a variety of visual information products to communicate assigned information objectives, illustrate assigned message(s), and inform or attract and maintain audience attention.
• Experience with audio video capture; editing; and product creation.
• Experience working with a customer in a professional manner and making technical decisions concerning color, lighting, size, and placement of material that most effectively conveys information objectives to intended audiences.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products; and multimedia software such as Apple Final Cut Pro, Apple Motion, Adobe Photoshop, MPEG StreamClip, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Media Encoder.
• Possess excellent oral and written communication skills and capable of explaining complex issues in a concise manner. Clearance Requirement:
• An active Secret (Tier 3) level Security Clearance is preferred.
