Overview We are searching for an ASSISTANT PURCHASE OFFICER to support different projects for a client in the energy sector in the region of Brussels. This job is situated in the office in Brussels (2x/week) and remotely. Responsibilities To support the purchase department, the client is requesting a service for operational support. The service will be responsible/managing the following service expectations: Administrative service within the purchasing department. Strict follow-up of the purchasing process and the creation of purchase orders within the deadline Support the internal customer & suppliers regarding the purchase orders on SAP and the Ariba network Creation/modification/adaptation of purchase orders in SAP in different purchasing groups. Creation and follow-up of contracts in SAP Monitoring of functional mailboxes Process optimization and collaboration with Excellence team. Scope related to project support: Support the Project Manager in the day-to-day coordination and follow-up of project activities. Monitor project progress, track action items, and ensure deadlines are met. Prepare and deliver project demonstrations (demos) to stakeholders and end users. Develop, maintain, and support training materials and user documentation. Collaborate closely with colleagues based in Berlin to ensure smooth project execution and alignment. Act as a point of contact for users and stakeholders, answering project-related questions and providing guidance. Draft and send project communications, including updates, announcements, reminders, and follow-up emails. Qualifications Required expertise: Good practice of SAP MM and Microsoft applications Knowledge of SAP Ariba is a plus Good analytic, organizational competences Ability to establish a good relationship with internal customers Be proactive and communicate with ease Knowledge of the purchasing process is essential Team player and willing to assist other team members when necessary Autonomous, willingness to learn Identify improvement topics in daily business and transform them (together with Process owner) in a business case. Bachelor's degree in a technical and/or administrative field or equivalent experience.
