Are you a Project Manager with a technical background and a passion for successfully delivering complex international projects? At GEA in Halle, Belgium, you’ll have the opportunity to oversee challenging projects in the pharmaceutical and chemical industries from start to finish. You’ll work closely with customers, sales, and multidisciplinary project teams, and play a key role in ensuring quality, schedule, budget, and customer satisfaction. In this international environment, you’ll be given a great deal of responsibility, room for initiative, and plenty of opportunities for professional growth.
Responsibilities / Tasks
As Project Manager you define and manage phase gate approach during complete project and are appointed as Project Manager after Sales handover.
Your
Responsibilities:
Initiate the project with the customer and internally. Manage the project team via regular project team meetings. Have a clear overview of project schedule and milestones. Control and report project costs and costs to come. Collect and report project risks and work out mitigation plans to minimize project risks. Report project status on a regular basis to the management and project steering committee. Invite the customer for project review meetings and project acceptance tests. Support commissioning engineers during start up.
Your Profile
/ Qualifications You hold a master’s degree in Electro, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or as Bio Engineer or equivalent by experience. You should have solid experience as project manager in pharmaceutical, food or chemical industry. You have experience as Project Manager in an international customer
- supplier relationship. In the relationship with your customers, you create trust and respect. You have the ability to steer and motivate a team of engineers: people management skills, analytical skills to manage complex projects. You are a respected partner for pharmaceutical companies. You have good communication skills and strive to optimize collaboration between different departments. You are continuously looking for improvements in day-by-day project management process. You are fluent (R/W/S) in English and Dutch. You have good knowledge of MS Office applications, especially Word and Excel. You are prepared to travel (in total less than 8 weeks a year, for periods of maximum 2 weeks).
