What to expect
Gates is seeking a Supply Chain Compliance Analyst to join our EMEA region. This new role will be responsible for supporting Gates supply chain reporting and compliance responsibilities. This position will engage cross-functionally within EMEA and global colleagues who work in roles related to our global supply chain which impact our EMEA operations.
The right candidate will possess project management experience and strong communication skills, an understanding of global logistics in a manufacturing company, and a commitment to data driven reporting. In this role, he/she will collaborate with cross-functional colleagues to ensure accurate and timely submission of mandatory reports, declarations, and due diligence statements to both customers and relevant authorities or third parties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Ensure effective data collection and processing from internal systems related to Gates importing (or placing on the European or UK markets) of materials captured by among others CBAM, EUDR, battery reporting in Germany, and PPWR or other packaging EPR laws related to supply chain compliance reporting.
• Coordinate with supplier-facing and customer-facing functions to ensure accurate data inputs into reporting systems, and to meet commercial requirements.
• Implement effective data collection from IT transactional systems (Such as 3rd party platforms that facilitate data collection processing for supply chain reporting).
• Serve as Gates authorized person in national or regional reporting systems for submitting reports & applying for authorizations required for compliance as needed (e.g. EU TRACES, CBAM Registry, UK Valpak among others).
• Guarantee the preparation and submission of formal, audit-ready DDS (Due Diligence Statements) for each relevant product in scope entering EU markets to ensure compliance with EUDR for both intercompany sales and customer sales originating in EMEA as well as other business regions (the Americas, GC, EA&I)
• Guarantee the assessment of customer PPWR documentation requests, including analysis of incomplete or limited product information to identify relevant packaging materials and provide the appropriate Declarations of Conformity (DoCs) and compliance documentation required for commercial support.
• Validate data, prepared to submit to governing authorities, with relevant departments for supply chain compliance regulations in the EMEA region, and for products shipping from EMEA into other impacted regions (e.g. Shipping, Customs, Demand Planning, Supply Chain, Procurement, Sustainability, Finance).
• Work with local points of contact as needed to support registrations and submissions to national portals (when local point of contact and language fluency are required).
• Coordinate with IT to identify compliance-related functional requirements and implement structures within global ERPs (Oracle, SAP, etc.) to ensure compliance data, workflows, and relevant transaction authorizations are added as needed.
• Coordinating with IT to build reporting structure within global ERPs to ensure it covers reporting requirements out of transactional data.
• Propose improvements to further embed supply chain compliance requirements into existing processes, systems, and tools.
• Monitor or audit the relevant processes and systems supporting supply chain compliance.
• Familiarity with reading and understanding different supply chain regulations published by EU authorities. Keys to Success

• 2-4 years of experiencein in data collection and reporting for compliance regulations
• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Management, or related.
• Required English and other EU languages ae preferred,
• Excel, PowerPoint and rest of Microsoft Office Suite is required.
• PowerBi knowledge is preferred.
• SAP and/or Oracle experience.
• Interest in supply chain reporting and compliance
