NextLink is having an existing position as an IS Life Solution Architect in Brussels area, Belgium. General information:
- Start date: ASAP
- Duration: 12 months renewable

Brussels area, Belgium Description : In a highly diverse environment, we are seeking a Solution Architect to assist us in designing and creating solutions to implement our numerous ongoing and upcoming initiatives. As a Solution Architect within IS Life, you will design end-to-end solutions aligned with business needs and architectural principles, while also overseeing their implementation. You will be involved from the project launch phase through to production, ensuring alignment among all stakeholders. You will work within a hybrid landscape:
- A significant portion of applications still runs in a Micro Focus COBOL environment.
- At the same time, we are fully committed to modernization and are transitioning to .
NET and Angular environments, applying Domain-Driven Design (DDD) architectural principles. Tasks :
- Solution design: you analyze needs, propose various options, and design pragmatic, sustainable, and future-oriented solutions in accordance with AG Insurance’s IT architectural standards.
- Bridging Business and IT: you translate complex business requirements into robust solutions.
- Stakeholder alignment (IT and Business): you build consensus and foster collaboration from the very start of projects.
- You collaborate closely with the business to identify its true needs, as well as with other IS teams within the department, cross-functional IS teams (Application Technology, Architecture & Strategy), and I&O teams to transition from the architecture phase to the implementation phase.
- Governance and documentation: you focus on solution quality (and adherence to standards) and documentation, and you present your architectural solutions to the AG Insurance architecture board.
- You define a short-, medium-, and long-term vision for IT system development.
- You challenge and validate proposed solutions in collaboration with the technical architecture team.
- You take into account the costs associated with implementing and maintaining/running your solution.
- You are willing to question the status quo and introduce new ideas.
- You ensure that architecture standards are upheld in your solutions. Profile:
• Language: English fluent + Dutch fluent OR French fluent
• Minimum 3 years of experience
• Solution Architect
• Functional Designer
• Domain-Driven Design (DDD) concepts and asynchronous integrations
• Interest in technological innovation
• Solution-oriented
• Able to synthesize large amounts of information
