Procurement Excellence Officer

Our client is seeking an experienced Procurement Excellence Officer to support the implementation of a strategic Procure-to-Pay (P2P) transformation program. In this role, you will act as the Procurement Subject Matter Expert (SME), process architect, and key liaison between Procurement, Finance, Business stakeholders, IT teams, and external solution providers. You will play a pivotal role throughout the full project lifecycle, from procurement and vendor selection to implementation, adoption, and continuous improvement. This assignment is ideal for a procurement professional who combines strong operational expertise with transformation experience and a passion for process excellence.

Key Responsibilities
Procurement Transformation & P2P Implementation
• Act as the Procurement SME within the project team.
• Translate business requirements into efficient, compliant, and future-proof procurement processes and system configurations.
• Support the implementation of the selected P2P solution and ensure alignment with procurement best practices. Tendering & Vendor Selection Support
• Assist in preparing and refining functional and operational requirements.
• Define evaluation methodologies and vendor assessment criteria.
• Evaluate supplier proposals and contribute to vendor selection activities.
• Prepare documentation and recommendations to support decision-making processes. Process Analysis & Design
• Review and assess current procurement processes.
• Identify optimization opportunities and efficiency improvements.
• Design and document standardized end-to-end procurement processes, including:
• Purchase Requisitions
• Strategic Sourcing
• Tender Management
• Contract Management
• Supplier Management
• Approval Workflows
• Invoice Processing Process Documentation & Governance
• Develop detailed process documentation using Visio or similar process modelling tools.
• Define roles, responsibilities, controls, governance models, escalation mechanisms, and compliance requirements.
• Establish a sustainable procurement operating framework. Procurement Manual Development
• Create and maintain a comprehensive Procurement Manual including:
• Process descriptions
• Work instructions
• RACI matrices
• Governance structures
• Compliance guidelines
• Standard templates
• User guidance for the new P2P platform Change Management & Adoption
• Support workshops, testing activities, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and training sessions.
• Contribute to change management initiatives and end-user adoption.
• Help strengthen and professionalize the procurement function through process standardization and data-driven practices. Profile
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Procurement, Procurement Excellence, Procurement Transformation, or Procurement Operations.
• Proven experience implementing Procure-to-Pay (P2P) platforms such as:
• Coupa
• SAP Ariba
• Ivalua
• Jaggaer
• Oracle
• Adfinity
• or equivalent solutions.
• Strong expertise in process analysis, process modelling, and process documentation.
• Experience working in complex stakeholder environments and transformation programs.
• Knowledge of public procurement, regulated purchasing environments, or public sector procurement is considered a strong asset.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Hands-on approach with a strong focus on governance, operational excellence, and change management.
• Comfortable facilitating workshops and interacting with senior stakeholders.
