Key Responsibilities
Pipeline & Modeling Support: Assist in writing and optimizing SQL queries and dbt models to clean and transform raw regional data in BigQuery Dashboard Development: Assist in maintaining our Looker (LookML) code and building high-performance, customized dashboards for our boutique networks Data Quality Assurance: Build automated data quality test to monitor data anomalies and our regional data pipeline performance to ensure our analytical products maintain 100% data accuracy Platform Migration & Modernization: Actively assist in documenting and migrating legacy reporting systems into our unified, cloud-based GCP platform Data Governance & Documentation: Standardize regional KPI definitions, engage with key stakeholders and maintain clear, structured data documentation to foster a strong regional data community What We Look For Academic Background: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, Statistics, or a highly quantitative field (Mathematics, Econometrics etc.). Must be currently enrolled in university and eligible for a full-time 6-month internship in Hong Kong Technical Toolkit: Proficiency in SQL (compulsory; practical testing will be part of the process) Basic understanding of data warehousing and data modelling concepts (BigQuery, Star Schema), and version control (GitOps and CI/CD) Experience or strong interest in dbt (data build tool) and Looker (LookML) is a major advantage Intermediate coding/scripting skills in Python (highly preferred for pipeline automation and AI integration) Analytical Mindset & Soft
