We're looking for a Fullstack Engineer with a solid frontend background to join our team as we continue to scale.
You'll help build the product mobile marketers use to run and optimise their Apple Ads campaigns, with a focus on the interfaces our customers rely on every day. The squad is growing the product and needs someone who cares about how it looks, feels and performs.
You'll report to the Engineering Manager of the Apple Ads Squad.
Location:
Brussels, hybrid setting, min. 3 days per week at the office. How we’re organized: You’ll join the Apple Ads Squad, a cross-functional team of backend and frontend engineers, a product manager, a designer and a QA engineer who own the product together. Day to day, you’ll work under the direct management of the squad’s Engineering Manager, who leads the squad and supports your growth and priorities. You’ll also be part of the Fullstack chapter, where your Chapter Lead and fellow fullstack engineers from other squads help you master your craft: sharing practices, reviewing technical choices and keeping our standards high. Your
Responsibilities:
• Build frontend features end to end, from shaping the solution with Product and Design to release and follow-up in production.
• Improve the quality of our React and TypeScript codebase: component design, performance, testing and accessibility.
• Contribute to backend work in Ruby (mainly APIs), with support from the backend engineers in the squad.
• Review code, share what you know and help more junior teammates grow.
• Work with the product manager and the squad to turn customer problems into simple, reliable features.
• Keep the product healthy by investigating, fixing and improving features already in production. Job requirements What we expect from you: Must-have
• A degree in computer science or engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Around 3 years of professional experience building web applications with React and TypeScript (or JavaScript).
• Some backend experience in any language (Ruby, Node.js, Python, PHP…), or a real interest in developing in that direction.
• Comfortable working in English in an international team. Nice-to-have
• Experience with Ruby on Rails or another backend framework.
• Experience with frontend testing (unit, end-to-end) or performance work.
• Experience with SQL databases.
• Familiarity with SaaS products, data-heavy interfaces, or the mobile app and advertising ecosystem. Don't tick every box? We'd still like to hear from you. We hire for potential and we'll help you grow. AppTweak welcomes applicants of every gender, age, background and identity. If you need any adjustment during the hiring process, just let us know. [Please note you will need a Belgian (European) valid visa/work permit to be eligible for the role] Our Tech team We value ownership and an entrepreneurial mindset
• It’s a fast-paced, high-impact environment where experimentation, agility, and innovation drive everything we do. Technologies we use
• We're mainly relying on three different languages:
• Ruby in the backend (for APIs and crawlers).
• Typescript in the frontend (for our React SPA).
• Python (mainly used by our Data Science team).
• Everything is hosted on AWS and running on K8s, and we have created a robust CI system to develop and deploy our code quickly. We deploy directly from Slack What's in it for you?
• Grow your career with one of Belgium's top tech scale-ups.
• Competitive and optimized salary package, structured to make the most of what you earn.
• Meal vouchers and eco-vouchers.
• Complementary Health Insurance Plan.
• 12 RTT days per year, on top of regular holidays.
• Flexible, hybrid work setup.
• Opportunities for continuous learning and creative thinking.
• Quarterly team-building events and a yearly company-wide retreat.
• One volunteer day every quarter to give back to the community.
• Serious about food. From themed lunches to spontaneous kitchen moments, food is genuinely part of how we connect at AppTweak.
• Opportunity to connect with a variety of exciting mobile businesses across different verticals. Who are we? At AppTweak, we are a team of more than 120 people, spread across Brussels, San Francisco, London, Tokyo, Seoul, Bengaluru, Ho Chi Minh, and Berlin. We build the platform that helps mobile leaders win in the app stores. More than 2,000 customers, like Uber, Zynga, and The North Face trust us to do that. We started in Brussels in 2014. It began with a small team and a simple bet: the best ASO insights come from people who go deeper into app store data than anyone else. We move fast, we speak up and support each other to do better. We keep learning, even on the days we are already good at our jobs. None of that happens by accident, but because people here take ownership. They show up for each other too, across offices and timezones. If that sounds like the kind of place you want to grow, we would love to hear from you At AppTweak, our first spoken language is English, from our Belgian HQ, to our teams all over the world. To ensure a smooth review process, please submit your application in English.
