Senior Full-stack Software Engineer

Act Digital is looking for a Senior Full-stack Software Engineer for a leading European institution. TASKS :
• Development of front-end website architecture.
• Design of user interactions on web pages.
• Development of back-end website applications.
• Implement core business logic.
• Apply data and security best practices: input validation, authentication/authorization, secure storage, compliant logging and monitoring.
• Ensure web applications are optimized for performance and functionality across different browsers and devices.
• Design responsive applications.
• Design and develop APIs.
• Participating in the design and creation of scalable software.
• Maintenance of code integrity and organisation.
• Writing clean, functional code on the front
- and back-end.
• Compile and analyse data, processes, and codes to troubleshoot problems and identify areas for improvement.
• Perform unit/integration testing, debug, fix, and validate code changes.
• Deliver solutions that fulfil functional and non-functional requirements and align with user expectations.
• Write technical documentation.
• Develop and maintain features across the entire stack, from designing user interfaces and consuming APIs to implementing server-side business logic and database interactions.
• Deploy and manage applications on cloud platforms using CI/CD pipelines and containerization technologies.
• Bridge the gap between front-end and back-end developers, facilitating communication and ensuring cohesive integration of all system components.
• Design, develop, maintain and optimise applications and database solutions, ensuring performance, reliability and alignment with business requirements. SENIORITY

REQUIREMENTS:
To qualify for this position, the consultant must have:
• University degree corresponding to Level 7 of the European Qualifications Framework (which typically corresponds to a master’s level or 5 years of higher education), and minimum 15 years of IT professional experience.

• Certificate in Angular or equivalent.
• Certificate in Java.
• Certificate in using AI agents for supporting software development or equivalent.
• Proof of certification shall be provided in the offer. Knowledge &

• Capacity to quickly ramp-up on new projects and competence in collaborating within teams.
• Ability to participate in multi-lingual meetings, ease of communication.
• Ability in applying security and cloud best practices.
• Proficiency in integrating front/back-end builds into CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to understand, speak and write English, optionally French as an additional asset.
• Ability to work in a team as well as autonomously.

Requirements:
• Experience with fundamental front-end languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML and CSS.
• Experience in Angular and with modern build tools (Webpack, Vite).
• Experience in Java, experience with Spring Boot, Hibernate, and REST API development.
• Experience in working with Oracle relational databases, including schema design, PL/SQL and query optimization.
• Experience with AWS cloud services and experience with deploying and managing applications in a cloud environment.
• Experience in containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) for developing and deploying applications.
• Experience in the archival field.
• Understanding of authentication and authorization protocols and standards (e.g., OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT).
• Experience in using AI agents to support software development. () IMPORTANT :
• Open to EU candidates, as well as non-EU candidates already located in Belgium.
• Minimum level C1 in English, both spoken and written.
