About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Freelance Business Intelligence Analyst to lead BI initiatives and deliver strategic insights for our clients. In this role, you will design and implement enterprise-wide BI solutions, mentor junior analysts, and collaborate with senior stakeholders to align BI strategies with business goals. You will use advanced BI tools, SQL, and data modeling to transform raw data into actionable insights that drive decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the design and implementation of enterprise-wide BI solutions using Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik.
• Develop semantic models, measures, and interactive dashboards to support strategic decision-making.
• Collaborate with C-level executives and senior stakeholders to identify BI opportunities and align solutions with business goals.
• Mentor junior BI analysts and provide guidance on complex challenges.
• Optimize BI solutions for performance, scalability, and usability.
• Work with SQL, Python/R, and data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift) to extract and transform data.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across all BI outputs.
• Drive self-service analytics and enable business users to derive insights independently.
• Present data-driven recommendations to leadership teams to support strategic initiatives. Ideal Candidate Profile Experience
• 8+ years of experience as a Business Intelligence Analyst, BI Developer, or similar role.
• Expertise in Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik and SQL for complex data extraction and modeling.
• Experience with semantic models.
• Proficiency in Python or R for data analysis and automation.
• Experience with data warehouses (Snowflake, Redshift) and ETL processes.
• Proven track record of mentoring teams and leading BI initiatives. Languages
• Fluent in English (required for collaboration).
• Fluent in French or Dutch (required for client/stakeholder communication). Soft Skills
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to translate business needs into technical BI solutions.
• Experience managing freelance projects or leading teams in a remote/hybrid environment.
