Job Description
The Product Expert – Pre-Commissioning is the key player in creating, maintaining, and supporting a correct process flow for preparing project specific hardware and software as much as possible in-house before they are shipped to the customer, ensuring a 'plug-and-play' experience on-site. This process is referred to as Pre-Commissioning. Acting as part of the Product Expert team — the bridge between R&D and the field — the role guides the resources executing pre-commissioning, owns the optimization of the pre-commissioning process, and builds the tooling required to scale it efficiently. Responsible for motivating/ensuring everyone works safely and according to the stow-Movu's QSHE standards to ensure that all work is done in a safe, efficient, and qualitative way. Complies with the attitude of Lean and continuous improvements in the organization. Responsible for ensuring that all executed activities and processes are in compliance with stow-Movu's QSHE standards, policies, instructions, and local legislation. Pre-Commissioning Process Ownership Proactively collects project information for every new project, ensuring the best possible project preparation. Builds a thorough understanding of project-specific parameters, enabling resources to prepare the correct configuration files or hardware/software setup for each project. Acts with a “timely delivery on-site” and a “project-specific plug-and-play” approach. Guides the resources executing pre-commissioning and provides all necessary information and tools to prepare project specific hardware and software correctly. Organizes and maintains the pre-commissioning zone efficiently. Process Optimization & Standardization Owns the optimization and maintenance of the process flows required for pre-commissioning. Leads the day-to-day execution of pre-commissioning, delegating available resources and enforcing techniques consistent with those used in the field, with support from fellow Product Experts. Identifies and implements process improvements, given the relative maturity of the pre-commissioning function. Quality & Documentation Maintains a minimum and constant pre-commissioning quality across all projects. Maintains a disciplined registration of all project-specific information. Asset Management Sets up and maintains an asset management protocol according to the ISO 27001 standard. Ensures the installed base per customer is tracked and readily available from pre-commissioning onward. Tooling & Automation Automates parts of the pre-commissioning process where possible, to support higher project volume within the same time frame. Designs tools that are simple and reliable enough for any available resource to use without extensive training. Ensures all tooling is documented and remains maintainable over time. Shares tooling ideas, including their benefits and ROI, with R&D to further optimize the way of working. Cross-Functional Collaboration Acts as part of the bridge between R&D and the field, contributing expert-level knowledge to support correct delivery of technical on-site requirements. Coordinates with Warehouse/Operations to ensure timely delivery of the products needed for pre-commissioning. Collaborates with fellow Product Experts to align pre-commissioning techniques with field practices. Maintains a dashboard to keep the Team Leads, Commissioning Manager, and Director Project Execution informed of relevant pre-commissioning information on a periodic basis. Organizes, together with Operations, which retrofit kits can be proactively installed by Operations personnel. Checks which cross-departmental optimizations or preparations are possible during the pre-commissioning phase. Proactively assesses short, mid, and long-term pre-commissioning requirements (e.g. number of shuttles/devices to be commissioned), together with Operations. Qualifications Master's degree in a technical field (e.g. Electromechanical, Electronics, IT), or equivalent through experience. Understands the importance of correct flows and processes, and how to design them. Good knowledge of Dutch and English; French required. Computer
