Role Description The Information Technology Support Engineer is a contract, on-site role based in Hong Kong SAR. This role is responsible for providing day-to-day technical support to internal users and clients, including diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues. The engineer will handle help desk requests, ensure timely incident resolution, and escalate complex problems when necessary. Daily activities include monitoring system performance, supporting system administration tasks, maintaining documentation of issues and solutions, and coordinating with regional and global teams to uphold service standards. The role also involves assisting with deployments, upgrades, and routine maintenance to ensure infrastructure reliability and adherence to security and compliance policies. Qualifications Strong technical support and help desk support skills, with the ability to manage user requests and incidents efficiently. Solid foundation in information technology, including familiarity with operating systems, networks, and common enterprise applications. Proficient troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues. Experience with system administration tasks such as user account management, backups, and patching. Relevant diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, Cisco) are an advantage. Ability to work on-site in Hong Kong SAR, including supporting occasional after-hours or weekend activities when required. Strong communication skills, customer-focused mindset, and ability to collaborate in a multicultural, global environment. Attention to detail, good documentation practices, and commitment to security and compliance standards.
