Brussels, Belgium [Near-Site] 🤝 Client: European Commission 💼 Your Role Design, implement and maintain DevSecOps and CI/CD pipelines using pipelines-as-code, integrating quality gates, automated testing, linting, security scanning, environment promotion, artifact management, image signing and software supply-chain security controls. Automate and manage application and infrastructure deployments, including progressive delivery strategies (canary, blue/green), feature flagging, automated rollback mechanisms, release management and deployment pipelines. Provision, manage and optimize cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), ensuring scalability, availability, compliance, policy enforcement, drift detection and disaster recovery readiness (RTO/RPO). Design and operate secure cloud architectures, applying cloud security best practices, zero-trust principles, encryption, least-privilege access, secrets management, governance guardrails, RBAC and compliance requirements including GDPR. Implement and maintain observability and operational excellence practices, including monitoring, logging, tracing, SLOs, KPIs, incident response, on-call support, incident playbooks, post-incident reviews, disaster recovery and business continuity plans. Perform cloud operations, performance optimisation and troubleshooting, ensuring application reliability, infrastructure efficiency, service availability and achievement of operational KPIs. Drive FinOps and cloud cost optimisation initiatives, including budgeting, forecasting, rightsizing, showback/chargeback models and cost analysis to maximise cloud efficiency Design and maintain internal developer platforms, reusable templates, golden paths and self-service capabilities that enable secure and standardised infrastructure and application deployments. Lead and support cloud transformation activities, including cloud architecture, landing zone design, networking, migration planning, software stack upgrades, data migration and end-to-end cloud adoption strategies. Collaborate with development teams and stakeholders to support cloud-native solutions, evaluate emerging cloud technologies, provide technical guidance and recommend improvements aligned with architectural standards and business objectives. Develop automation through scripting and DevSecOps tools, and create comprehensive technical documentation, runbooks and operational procedures to support knowledge transfer and operational continuity. 🛠️ What You'll Bring ✅ Technical

Skills:
15 years of professional experience with development languages, including Python, YAML, Bash, Java and TypeScript. 10 years of professional experience in an International Organisation. 7 years of professional experience as Lead Architect and specialist for AWS cloud platforms, including: AWS Networking: VPC, VPC Peering, Direct Connect, Security Groups, Shield Advanced, WAF. AWS Security: AWS Config, Security Lake, Control Tower, IAM Roles, Cognito, Shield Advanced, Security Groups. Infrastructure-as-Code: CloudFormation, CDK, AWS CDK. System Design and Architecture. Cloud Security Architecture and Security Requirements. Design of scalable, secure and interoperable digital solutions. Network fundamentals including DNS, Load Balancing, Firewalls, VPNs and network troubleshooting. 5 years of professional experience with: Docker, AWS, CDK, ECS,ECR. Implementation of Single Sign-On (SSO) on AWS Console. 4 years of professional experience with: WebLogic, Oracle Database. 3 years of professional experience with monitoring tools, including Dynatrace, Splunk and CloudWatch. 2 years of professional experience with: Amazon Q, AWS Kiro, WildFly, PostgreSQL. 1 year of professional experience with static code analysis using CDK_NAG. DevSecOps lifecycle tools (GitLab, GitHub, Atlassian products). Enterprise-level multi-user Information Systems. Deployment pipelines and release management. DevSecOps practices in Agile environments. Cloud cost optimisation and FinOps. CI/CD tools and platforms including GitLab, AWS CodeCommit and Azure DevOps. Secret management tools including HashiCorp Vault and AWS Secrets Manager. Software development methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall. 🎓 Education and certifications: University degree corresponding to Level 7 of the European Qualifications Framework (which typically corresponds to a master's level or 5 years of higher education), and minimum 15 years of IT professional experience. or University degree corresponding to Level 6 of the European Qualifications Framework (which typically corresponds to a bachelor's level or 3 years of higher education) and minimum 17 years of IT professional experience. 🗣️ Languages: Very good knowledge of English language, both spoken and written, corresponding to Level B2 or higher of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
