Tastings Group a homegrown independent group of bars and restaurants in Hong Kong, established in 2008. A fast-growing and dynamic F&B group in Hong Kong managing premium food & beverage outlets including Quinary, Origin, The Envoy, Room 309, Vea Restaurant, Wing Restaurant, and Draft Land Hong Kong in Central. In 2024, February the second Draft Land HK opened in Causeway Bay. In July we opened The Opposites Bar led by two Diageo World Class Champions, Antonio Lai and Samuel Kwok in Central. And a new restaurant Medora, Liz & Tori is going to open in mid of November. Position: Demi Chef (Baker cum Savory prepping) We're looking for a talented, innovative baker committed to providing exceptional baked goods and service in a timely and professional manner. The baker will create, execute, and develop recipes, do quality checks on ingredients and finished items, enhance item presentation with icing, glazes, fillings, and decorations, and process customer orders. Additionally, the baker must ensure that hygiene is always maintained during the baking process. Job Duties
• Preparing, baking, mainly to produce breads and savory prepping.
• Using scales. graded containers, measures, and weighs flour or other materials to make batters, doughs, fillings, or whipped cream.
• Decorating baked items such as cream pies using a pastry bag
• Adjusting the timing and speed settings for mixing or blending equipment so that the components are mixed or cooked according to the recipe.
• Preparing garnishes for baked items.
• Keep track of food supply and place orders as required.
• Utilising adequate quantities and rotating products to keep spoilage/waste to a minimum.
• Cleaning, dismantling, and storing all baking equipment, including ovens, mixers, proofers, floors, freezers, and refrigerators.
• Ensuring an appropriate supply of all prepared products as well as proper storage and refrigeration. Requirements
• Baking experience of at least 2-3 years is required.
• Demonstrated understanding of and ability to operate basic food service equipment safely and effectively.‍
• Understanding of food safety practices.
• Self-motivated and adaptable with a high level of energy for multitasking
• Strong communication skills, ability to manage time and resources, and general planning.
• Close attention to the details, especially when inspecting materials and products for quality.
