S. (Business & Engineering Solutions) is growing and is therefore welcoming a new Simulation Engineer within a technology-focused research and development environment. As a Simulation Engineer, you will contribute to the development of advanced multiphysics models and thermal simulations, supporting device performance prediction and technology development for next-generation sample preparation. You will work at the intersection of multiphysics modelling, thermal engineering, MEMS device design and computational simulation, providing simulation-based insights to support engineering decisions and explore innovative AI-driven modelling workflows. Context: Join a multidisciplinary R&D environment focused on the development of advanced technologies and next-generation sample preparation solutions. You will contribute to the development of 2D and 3D multiphysics models, using COMSOL or equivalent simulation tools to predict device performance under different operating conditions. The role focuses particularly on thermal and electro-thermal modelling, including the implementation of temperature-dependent material properties and physics-based thermal models. You will also contribute to experimental validation, data analysis and model correlation to ensure the accuracy and reliability of simulation results. Working closely with multidisciplinary R&D teams, you will provide simulation-based insights to guide design decisions and technology development, while exploring the potential of AI-driven modelling workflows. Your
Responsibilities:
• Develop 2D and 3D multiphysics models using COMSOL or equivalent simulation tools.
• Implement temperature-dependent material properties and physics-based thermal models to accurately predict device performance.
• Contribute to design decisions and technology development by providing simulation-based insights for next-generation sample preparation.
• Explore and contribute to AI-driven modelling workflows.
• Perform experimental validation, data analysis and model correlation to assess the accuracy and reliability of simulation results.
• Apply knowledge of thermal, electro-thermal and MEMS device design to support engineering and R&D activities.
Your Profile
• Master’s degree in Engineering, preferably in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Physics.
• A PhD is preferred, and an engineering degree is considered more suited than a purely scientific degree.
• Experience or knowledge in multiphysics modelling and simulation, using COMSOL or an equivalent tool.
• Knowledge of thermal and electro-thermal modelling and MEMS device design.
• Understanding of experimental validation, data analysis and model correlation.
• Understanding of microfabrication processes and device physics.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary R&D teams.
