Full Time Learning Diversity Teacher (Temporary) Quarry Bay School is seeking to appoint a full-time temporary Learning Diversity Teacher from February 2027 to February 2028. This role is highly collaborative so we are looking for an experienced, well-qualified, knowledgeable and enthusiastic practitioner with a strong understanding and commitment to inclusive education and supporting neurodivergent students within the primary years. The position will be a temporary contract only. This is a non
- class based role where the successful candidate will support personalised and differentiated inclusion for students across all year levels. The role predominantly involves supporting students placed at level of adjustment (LOA) 3-4 and being responsible for their provision, including liaison with class teacher, parents and external professionals. In addition, the Learning Diversity Teacher also works collaboratively with class teachers and in close conjunction with the Head of Support to plan and deliver personalised intervention programmes. The ability to fully understand complex needs and differentiate learning experiences for students is highly important in this role. Experience of working with external professionals in order to implement recommendations for students within the school context is essential. The Learning Diversity Teacher Must
• be a champion for inclusion for all;
• an outstanding practitioner in both class and non-class based contexts with experience in working with students who have learning diversity;
• be highly visible and actively involved in the school;
• be highly independent with resourceful approaches to planning for provision and possess initiative
• demonstrate strong knowledge of neurodiversity and how to support learners in the classroom or through individualised support (specialist qualifications are desirable but not essential);
• demonstrate excellent classroom management;
• demonstrate a commitment to high standards as well as developing great relationships with all stakeholders Requirements
• Bachelor Degree in Education, or
• Bachelor Degree in any subjects with PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate of Education), or equivalent Teaching qualification
