Role Description This is a part-time remote role for a Financial & Legal Advisor at TherapyMantra. The advisor will provide practical legal and financial guidance on business operations, contracts, regulatory compliance, and risk management in the context of global online mental health services. Daily responsibilities include reviewing and preparing legal documents, advising on labor and employment matters, and helping ensure adherence to relevant laws and company policies in multiple jurisdictions. The role also involves supporting financial planning and budgeting, assessing financial implications of legal decisions, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to optimize cost-effective and compliant business strategies. The advisor will work closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to identify potential issues, recommend solutions, and promote sound governance practices. Qualifications
• Strong foundation in Law with the ability to interpret and apply legal principles to digital health and international service delivery.
• Experience in Legal Document Preparation, including drafting, reviewing, and revising contracts, policies, and compliance-related documentation.
• Ability to analyze Legal Issues and provide clear, actionable Legal Advice aligned with organizational goals and risk management.
• Knowledge of Labor and Employment Law, particularly as it relates to remote, cross-border teams and contractor/employee relationships.
• Relevant academic background such as a law degree (LLB/JD) and professional certification or bar membership, where applicable.
• Experience advising startups or digital platforms, preferably in healthcare, technology, or online services, is highly beneficial.
• Strong analytical, financial literacy, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance legal risk and business realities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote, multicultural environment. Interested candidates can share their resume at rushali@mantra.care
