Senior Data Engineer (Microsoft Fabric) About the job Movify helps organisations make the most of their data, from solid foundations to GenAI use cases. A data team of 10 to 15 engineers is building a modern data platform on Microsoft Fabric, and the team is looking for an expert to show them the way: how to build it right, and how to build it faster with AI. That’s where you come in. 🤠 What you’ll be doing You’ll join our AI & Data team and be started on a long-term assignment with a large public organisation in Antwerp, where your work will shape how a whole data team builds.
• Design, build and run scalable data pipelines on Microsoft Fabric (pipelines, dataflows, notebooks).
• Integrate data from many sources: databases, APIs, files and business applications.
• Shape the lakehouse and warehouse layers and turn reporting needs into clean data models and reliable datasets.
• Set the standards the whole team builds on: coding conventions, CI/CD, documentation and best practices.
• Show the team how to get the most out of AI tools like GitHub Copilot in their daily engineering work.
• Work closely with analysts, reporting specialists, architects and business users. 🤓 What we’re looking for
• 5+ years as a Data Engineer, including 3+ years of Python in a data engineering context.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric on Azure lakehouse or warehouse architectures.
• Strong SQL, including query optimisation.
• Experience integrating multiple source systems and supporting reporting and analytics environments.
• You already use AI coding assistants in your daily work and know where they really help.
• You enjoy sharing what you know and raising the bar for the people around you.
• Native-level Dutch (C2) and fluent English. Bonus points
• Spark and medallion architecture (bronze, silver, gold).
• CI/CD, Git and deployment of data solutions.
• Power BI and Kimball data modelling.
• Data governance, data quality and lineage.
• Experience in the public sector or a complex enterprise environment.
• Data mesh or domain-oriented architectures. 😍 What Movify offers
