Overview
PM Group are seeking an experienced Commercial Contract Manager to be based in Mons, Belgium to oversee complex construction contracts for a major mission critical facility project. This role will be responsible for managing all commercial and contractual aspects of a major construction project, with a focus on risk management, change control, and stakeholder relationships.

We currently have a requirement for a Quantity Surveyor. The role will include all aspects of Quantity Surveying both pre and post contract across a variety of sectors. The successful candidate will be equally capable of working independently or as part of a larger team and will report directly to the managing surveyor. PM Group offers interesting and varied project experience in structured environment with appropriate training and support.
Responsibilities
Lead contract administration and commercial management for a large-scale mission critical facility construction project
Review, negotiate, and manage construction contracts, subcontracts, and consultant agreements
Ensure compliance with contract terms, regulatory requirements, and company policies
Develop and implement change management processes, including evaluation of change orders and claims
Monitor project costs, forecasts, and cash flow to ensure commercial viability
Identify and mitigate contractual risks throughout the project lifecycle
Manage relationships with clients, contractors, and key stakeholders
Prepare monthly commercial reports and present to senior management
Lead contract close-out processes and final account negotiations
Qualifications
Minimum 10 years of commercial management experience in a leadership or senior position in large scale construction projects
Strong understanding of construction law and contract administration
Experience with main construction industry standard forms of contract
Proficiency in contract risk assessment and mitigation strategies
Advanced negotiation and stakeholder management skills
Excellence in financial analysis and reporting
Familiarity with and project experience in the Belgium construction market
Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering or related field
Professional certification (MRICS, CCM, PMP, or equivalent)
Experience with mission critical or pharmaceutical facility projects
Strong leadership and team collaboration skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Advanced negotiation skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
