Quality Manager

For our Gijzegem site, we are looking for you as Quality Manager (m/f/d) Where we need you
• As Quality Manager, you are the driving force behind our quality department. You are responsible for all aspects of quality, ranging from product and process quality to managing your direct team members
• With your excellent communication skills, you play a central role in guiding internal and external audits, acting as the primary point of contact
• Furthermore, you play an essential role in implementing quality standards on the shop floor. You ensure a regular presence on the production floor to safeguard quality KPIs and motivate employees to work in accordance with these standards
• You report directly to the Plant Manager and lead the Quality Engineer and the Production Assistant. Your team also includes Quality Auditors and Final inspectors. Using your communication and leadership skills, you bring out the best in your team and continuously improve quality standards
• You will also support the EHS Manager and take on specific tasks to ensure KPI targets are met in this area as well
• In addition, you ensure that our management system complies with applicable legislation and international standards, such as IATF 16949, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001. As the point of contact for external stakeholders—such as OEMs and auditors—you play a crucial role in safeguarding quality, safety, and well-being in the workplace
• This role places you in a key position within the organization to ensure quality and EHS standards How to convince us
• Preferably a Master of Science or engineering degree, or equivalent experience
• Additional training in management systems (ISO 9001, IATF 16949) and quality tools (SPC, 8D, MSA, FMEA) is an asset
• Experience in quality management, preferably within an automotive supplier
• Knowledge of other management systems, such as ISO 45001 and ISO 14001, is an asset
• Excellent knowledge of English
• Knowledge of German is an asset
• You are communicative, persuasive, and a team player
• Flexibility, the ability to anticipate needs, and resilience under pressure are among your strengths
• You possess an analytical and problem-solving mindset
• You place great importance on working in a manner that prioritizes quality, safety, and environmental awareness
