About the role
Lacoste is looking for an experienced and commercially driven Assistant Store Manager to join our boutique on Rue Neuve, one of Brussels' busiest shopping streets. This is a hands-on leadership position in a high-traffic retail environment, working alongside the Store Manager and supporting a team of approximately 12 employees. We are specifically looking for someone who already has proven management experience within premium or luxury fashion retail. This is not an entry-level management position. Your responsibilities
• Support the Store Manager in daily store operations and commercial performance.
• Lead, motivate and coach the sales team on the shop floor.
• Actively manage retail KPIs, including conversion, UPT, Average Basket and sales targets.
• Drive excellent customer service and a premium brand experience.
• Support staff scheduling, operational standards and visual merchandising.
• Take responsibility for store operations in the Store Manager's absence. Essential requirements – Please read before applyingTo be considered for this position, you must meet ALL of the following
requirements:
• Currently residing in Belgium, within a realistic commuting distance of Brussels.
• Proven management experience in premium or luxury fashion retail, preferably as an Assistant Store Manager, Department Manager or Store Manager.
• Hands-on experience managing and coaching a retail sales team.
• Strong understanding of retail KPIs and the ability to translate results into daily actions.
• Experience working in a busy, commercially demanding fashion retail environment.
• Fluent French and English, both spoken and written.
• Availability to work on-site in Brussels, including weekends. Experience in general sales, hospitality, FMCG, wholesale or business development alone does not meet the specific requirements for this position.
