We are seeking a UX/UI Designer to lead the design of our client’s Streaming & Membership Platform MVP; a unified direct-to-fan digital platform where fans create a single account to access merchandise, event tickets, livestreams, and video content. Your primary mission is to own the end-to-end user experience and interface design across the platform's core journeys — membership sign-up, livestream viewing, commerce, and content browsing — working closely with the client's Entertainment Team to deliver a production-ready design system in time for a fixed-date premiere event. This is a remote engagement based in Hong Kong, running for 1.5 months (6 weeks) at approximately 2 days per week. The platform integrates Firebase Auth, Stripe Billing, Mux (livestreaming), and Shopify (headless commerce), built on a Next.js / Node.js stack, with trilingual support (English, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese). The ideal candidate is expected to design for a responsive, mobile-first, trilingual consumer experience and work closely with the Frontend Developer to ensure design intent translates cleanly into build. ⇒

Key Responsibilities
1. UX/UI Design & Prototyping User Journeys & Wireframes: Map and wireframe core fan journeys — registration/login, membership tiers, livestream viewing (countdown, live, replay), headless commerce (browse, cart, checkout), and content/VOD browsing. UI Design System: Build a reusable, trilingual-ready UI design system (components, typography, colour, spacing) aligned to client's brand guidelines. Prototyping: Produce high-fidelity, interactive prototypes for client review and developer handoff, covering desktop, tablet, and mobile breakpoints. 2. Client & Brand Coordination Primary Design Liaison: Act as the day-to-day design point of contact for the client's Entertainment Team, running video workshops and gathering async feedback. Brand Finalisation: Work with the client to finalise existing brand guidelines into a productionready visual system for the platform. Content-Aware Design: Design around confirmed content types (brand assets, photography, product data, video content) and the content calendar, flagging gaps early. 3. Cross-Functional Collaboration Frontend Handoff: Work closely with the Frontend Developer to ensure designs are implementation-ready (Next.js/React component structure, responsive behaviour, i18n text expansion for Traditional/Simplified Chinese). Admin CMS UX: Design the custom React admin dashboard experience — content, user, and livestream management views — for the client’s internal operators. Cross-Workstream Alignment: Coordinate with the Project Manager and Lead Full-Stack Developer to sequence design delivery against the build phases (Core platform, Streaming & Commerce, Trilingual Support & Polish). 4. Delivery & Handoff Design QA: Review implemented UI against design specs during the Testing/Polish phase and flag discrepancies. Documentation: Deliver a finalised UI design system and component library as a lasting asset for the client. Launch Support: Remain available for design-related adjustments through go-live (last week of September). ⇒ Requirements

Experience:
6–9+ years as a UX/UI Designer on consumer-facing digital products, with a track record of owning end-to-end design on fixed-timeline, milestone-driven engagements. Platform Design: Proven experience designing membership/subscription, e-commerce, or streaming/media platforms; a portfolio spanning web and mobile responsive design is expected. Technical Fluency: Proficiency in Figma (or equivalent) for wireframing, prototyping, and design systems; sufficient understanding of frontend implementation (component-based frameworks, responsive breakpoints) to hand off designs that build cleanly. Localisation-Aware Design: Experience designing multilingual interfaces, ideally including Chinese-language (Traditional/Simplified) UI considerations. Client-Facing

Skills:
Comfortable working remotely with a non-technical client team via video workshops and async feedback, as the primary design point of contact. Languages: Cantonese & English, as you may be working with different teams across various regions.
