We are looking for qualified individuals to join us. Role Overview We are seeking a Junior Writing Analyst to join PWM Research. This is an entry-level analyst-track role for a candidate with strong writing capability, sound financial and market knowledge, and the ambition to develop a long-term career in investment research. The role has a primary focus on research editing, writing, English-to-Chinese translation and marketing communications, while offering structured exposure to sector and stock research. Responsibilities Editing and writing: Review, edit and write short English-language research reports and company commentaries on a daily basis. This includes updates on key developments in REITs, property, finance, structured products, unit trusts, ETFs, commodities and forex in the Hong Kong, Mainland China and US markets. Produce sharp, punchy and well-structured content with clear messages and actionable investment ideas Translation: Translate research reports from English into written Chinese using AI and related productivity tools. Ensure the final Chinese output is equally clear and sharp Publication: Work closely with the publication team to ensure the smooth, accurate and timely distribution of PWM Research through email, web and other relevant channels Marketing communications: Promote PWM Research to increase readership and maximise the impact of research content, including through messaging groups, media and social-media channels. Collaborate closely with the Marketing team on content distribution Research materials and collateral: Prepare, update and refine research materials, marketing collateral and customised client materials, including market summaries, stock updates, earnings previews and reviews, and thematic reports Research support: Conduct research on selected sectors and stocks as directed by the CIO. The initial coverage remit may include a focused sector with scope to expand as the candidate develops Client and market engagement: Support the institutional sales business by accompanying the CIO in sales engagements and client meetings to discuss our coverage industries and companies when required Requirements Degree holder in Finance, Economics, Business, Journalism or a related discipline. Candidates with demonstrable financial-market knowledge will be preferred Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in equity research, financial analysis, market-content writing, financial journalism or a related field Strong interest in financial markets, investment products and equity research, with the ambition to build a long-term career as an investment analyst Excellent written English and Chinese, with the ability to communicate complex investment ideas clearly and concisely. Fluency in spoken English and Chinese is required Strong writing, editing and translation skills, with careful attention to accuracy, clarity and consistency Sound analytical, research and presentation skills, and the ability to identify material market developments and investment messages Comfortable using AI and related tools responsibly to support translation, writing and research workflows, with the judgement to verify facts, figures and final output Self-motivated, organised and able to work effectively under daily publication deadlines
