Who are we looking for? We are looking for a temporary, talented Aviation Security Auditor to join our Security Department. In this role, you assess, monitor and verify compliance with aviation security regulations, company security policies and industry standards across our operational activities. You help ensure that security controls are effectively implemented, identify vulnerabilities and non-compliances, and support the continuous improvement of our Aviation Security Management System. • Plan, conduct and document aviation security audits, vulnerability assessments, inspections and compliance reviews.
• Verify compliance with applicable national, European and international aviation security requirements, including ICAO, EU, national, company and IOSA standards.
• Conduct announced and unannounced audits and inspections at airports, stations, cargo facilities and third-party service providers.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of security controls and mitigations, raise findings and recommendations, and recommend immediate corrective actions when serious vulnerabilities are identified.
• Review the implementation of corrective and preventive actions and monitor the closure of audit findings and security actions.
• Support regulatory inspections and external audits.
• Monitor security performance indicators, compliance trends and emerging security risks and vulnerabilities.
• Verify the effectiveness of security training and staff qualification programmes.
• Assess the compliance of outsourced security providers and contractors.
• Produce professional audit reports and compliance assessments, present findings and recommendations to management, and escalate significant security concerns where necessary.
• Maintain audit records and supporting evidence in accordance with company procedures.
• Contribute to the development and enhancement of the Aviation Security Programme, participate in security risk assessments, support new security initiatives and regulatory changes, and promote a positive security culture throughout the organisation. You’ll be part of the Security Department, working closely with national aviation security authorities, airport authorities, external aviation security organisations, cargo handling organisations and internal operational departments. You will report directly to the AVSEC Manager / Security Department, with a divisional reporting line to the Head of Protection Management.

Your profile

• You hold a bachelor’s degree or have equivalent experience.
• You have specialised training in Aviation Security, Auditing, Compliance Monitoring, Security Management or a related discipline.
• You have at least three years of operational experience within security operations.
• You have experience in aviation security, compliance monitoring, quality assurance or operational auditing.
• Experience within an airline, airport operator, ground handling organisation or regulatory authority is preferred.
• You have a good understanding of ICAO Annex 17 and the ICAO Security Manual, Doc 8973.
• You have a good understanding of EU Regulation 300/2008 and EU Implementing Regulation 2015/1998.
• You are familiar with national civil aviation security programmes, airport and airline security operations, and security risk management principles.
• You understand audit techniques, compliance monitoring methodologies and IOSA security standards and recommended practices.
• You demonstrate integrity and confidentiality, strong analytical thinking, attention to detail and sound professional judgement.
• You work assertively and independently while remaining a collaborative team member.
• You communicate clearly, manage stakeholders effectively and remain resilient under pressure. What’s in it for you?
